BK's FAVORITE thing to do in Buffalo. Paddleboard or kayak along the Buffalo River or out to the habor. Personal favorite is to go along the river and see all the old industrial buildings and grain silos. Jon lost the bottom of his oar during one SUP sesh and had to paddle back with his arms.
Silo City is close to the wedding venue in the Old First Ward. -Duende is a restaurant that has live music and good food. (https://duendesilo.city/) - Tours on the ground and in the air. The tours cover how important the silos were to the growth of Buffalo. There is an option for you to actually climb the silos. (https://explorebuffalo.org/silo-city/) - Silo Fleas is a flea market offered in nicer weather. Fun to check out.
There is a lot to do at Canalside. Food, drinks, chilling. There are often craft markets set up. Occasional concerts. At night, you can see projections onto the silo. - Military park (https://buffalonavalpark.org/) - Southern Tier Brewing - History Tours (https://buffalohistorytours.com/)
Had to mention this bad boy, for the Art Deco architecture.
We want to preface, most local pizza places will have good buffalo wings. Default sauce is buffalo, so if you say mild/med/hot wings, they know what you are asking. One time, Grace Garvey got called a dirty 'scon by the server at Bar Bill for ordering Ranch. Eat wings how you want though. Chicken Wing Recommendations: 1. Bar Bill in East Aurora- pair this with a trip to 42 North Brewing (live music), Aurora Brew Works, a bunch of very cute shops on Main St that BK/mom/sisters frequent, including Vidler's 5 and 10c shop. 2. McCarthy's- next to the Barrel Factory. a go-to before Sabres game and possibly our favorite spot. 3. Gabriel's Gates- on Allen St. This place is dingy, don't ask questions. 4. Wing Nuts- never been, but bc of Bar Stool, you won't leave BK alone and she wants you to stop asking her about this. We hear that they have very good wings in general, including non-Buff sauces.
Beautiful from both sides. If you plan on viewing from the Canadian side- bring your passport! Things you can do: Cave of the Winds Maid of the Mist White Water Rafting Boat Fort Niagara, Canada (wineries!) Clifton Hills, Canada
Chesnut Ridge is a lovely park in Orchard Park, NY. Close-ish to the Bills stadium. - Good for running and hiking - BK, Jon, and family love to disc golf here. The course is woodsy. Demure. You're literally hiking whilst frolfing. - Eternal Flame hike: the eternal flame is an area under a small waterfall where natural gas occurs, and a flame is ever-lit. - The Kruszkas used to sled here in the winter. - Pair with a trip to Hamburg Brewery, which has a sweet lake, outdoor seating galore, and is very woodsy and warm

This area of Buffalo is very cute, includes Shea's Performing Arts Center and other shops/theaters. The Metro Rail (calm down Kendra) runs right though it.
