Bishop and Lily met online through a dating app called United Young (though it's called "holy" now). At the time, Bishop was about halfway through his Physician Assistant program, and Lily was working as a night-shift nurse at Medical City's Progressive Care Unit. They both found many things in common and quickly realized that they are the same kind of weirdo. Before long, being together felt like second nature, and they've been best friends ever since!
Bishop and Lily are always up to something! They love to spend their time at arcades, trying out new food, and attending concerts when they can. One of their favorite places for a brunch or dinner date is Eataly in Dallas. As for concerts, their favorites have been Earth Wind and Fire, Cory Wong, and Incognito. The couple also enjoys traveling when they can--they made all sorts of fun memories in their visits to Chicago and San Francisco!
It didn't take Bishop and Lily long to realize that they were each other's person, and that they would eventually tie the knot. But their lives had taken a particular shape: Bishop was graduating from PA school, setting the stage for his new career, and Lily had became inspired to pursue higher education herself. So, they both decided to wait for Lily to graduate before taking that pivotal, exciting next step.
Bishop asked Lily for her hand in marriage on November 9, 2024 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Surrounded by some of their closest friends, Bishop had timed the question to the exact day of their relationship's third anniversary. Without a second thought, Lily said yes!
As we begin our new journey together, we will fight for connection daily, through shared fun and being Christ to one another. As we sharpen our faith, we'll use our personal experience and clinical skills to bless the people around us-starting with our families, and then our friends, parents, and those the LORD call us to.
