Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will be a formal affair. A suit and tie are recommended for men and long dresses are recommended for women in any color except white/cream.

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

While we love all the children in our lives, our ceremony and reception are adults-only events.

Question

What transportation options are available in the city?

Answer

We will provide a shuttle from the hotel Fairmont to St. Dominic's and back, so no need to worry about transit to and from our wedding venue locations. We have you covered :) We recommend walking as much as possible to experience the uniqueness of the city. For longer trips, or in case of bad weather, we suggest Uber, Lyft or Waymo (our driverless robot cars here in SF!). There is also excellent public transportation and routes can be found on Google Maps.

Do we need to rent a car?

Answer

We wouldn't recommend renting a car unless you are extending your trip and going to Napa, Muir Woods or Yosemite. If you do decide to rent a car, please note that parking for guests at Fairmont runs $90/night. Rates vary by hotel and whether you are staying on property.

Is there parking available at the church and hotel?

Answer

St. Dominic's has ample free parking and the entrance to the parking lot is to the right of the main entrance of the church (2390 Bush Street). Please note that parking is limited to the time of the ceremony ONLY. Extended parking past the time of the ceremony is not allowed. If you are driving and will need parking at the Fairmont for the reception, the hotel garage is located on the corner of Powell and California Streets. Rates are as follows: Overnight valet parking for guests is $90 + tax per night, including unlimited access. Parking for visitors is $36 for the first hour, $52 for 2 hours, $72 for 3 hours, and $90 + tax for 3+ hours. All parking fees are subject to a 14% city tax. Additionally, there are many public parking garages as well as parking spot finder apps (i.e. Spot Hero).

What neighborhoods should I look for accommodations in if I decide to book outside of the room blocks?
