Our ceremony and reception will be held at The Hardiman. Guests wishing to stay here can call or email the hotel and reference this wedding to book for a discounted rate. Please note that this rate is only available until September 3rd, after which the rooms will be released. Also, as we have a limited number of rooms available through our room block at this hotel, we have room blocks with discounted rates at two other hotels (listed below). Both are both around 5 minutes walking to The Hardiman. There are also many other nearby hotel options in the city to accommodate any budget - Galway is a small and very walkable city!

The HYDE is another alternative hotel close to The Hardiman. We have 15 double rooms available from Wednesday night 10/14 through Saturday night 10/17 as part of our room block. Travel Note
The closest airport to Galway is Shannon (SNN), which is about a 1h15 drive away; however, this is a small airport with few direct flights from the US. There are bus links available directly from SNN airport to Galway city. We would suggest to fly into Dublin airport (DUB) instead, as it is a much larger airport with many more flight options. You can get directly from DUB to Galway city by bus or through car rental. By car, the trip time is ~2-2.5 hours; by bus, the trip is about ~2.5-3 hours. Travel Note
For those who would like to rent a car, please note that automatic transmission is less common than manual and will be more expensive. Also, please remember the steering wheel is on the right side of the car and driving is opposite to what is is in the US. The majority of the drive between Dublin and Galway is on a highway though!
Train
For those traveling from Dublin City Center, taking the train is a great alternative to renting a car. There are direct trains from Dublin to Galway every hour for ~$20 and take 2.5-3 hours.
