Cocktail attire is preferred for the ceremony and reception.
Transportation between the hotel and ceremony is not needed because both the ceremony and reception will take place at The Hardiman! There will be a cocktail hour also held at the hotel in between the ceremony and reception.
Though the official "wedding hotel" is at The Hardiman, we understand that not everyone may want to stay here. While we do have room blocks available at two other hotels in close proximity to the Hardiman, there are still many others to choose from - Galway is a small and very walkable city!
For guests arriving earlier in the week, we are hoping to coordinate some group excursions in and around Galway city. Please see the "Things To Do" page of the website for more information on these plans, as well as to see some of our Galway recommendations!
While the temperatures may be mild, it can be quite windy and rainy in October. Above all else, please be prepared for rainy days! We definitely recommend bringing a rain jacket rather than relying on an umbrella. Otherwise, the vibe in Galway is quite casual - you won't feel out of place in sweaters, jeans and sneakers.
Yes, linked to the "Registry" page of this site. We also wanted to acknowledge that our registry may look a little different from a traditional wedding registry. Because Billy and I live abroad, and many of our guests will be traveling internationally to celebrate with us, we have chosen not to include many physical gifts.
This drawing of The Hardiman hotel was a custom order from our incredibly talented friend Ally Bartozcewicz! She is an artist and has done several other custom drawings for us in the past - please check out her work at https://allybartoszewicz.com or on Instagram @allybartozcewicz
