They first met at their hometown in Tiaong, province of Quezon. Billy was born in Tiaong while Billie was originally from Caloocan City but moved to Tiaong together with his family when he was 9 years old. It was there when it all started. Billy first saw Billie when she was 11 years old. While walking from her grandparents' house she saw Billie at the gate of his house holding a racing pigeon. Since Billy is a naturally friendly kid, she smiled at him but to her consternation, he snobbed her! She really can't forget that moment leaving a very unfavorable impression of Billie on her. Billy knows Billie not personally and by name only but she was close to his siblings specially his sister who was also her classmate. Not only that, both their brothers are friends and classmates as well. They have so many things in common so it's inevitable that their paths always crossed as both their parents were members of Couples for Christ and their dads were both Rotarians. However, as fate would have it, Billy and her family migrated to the USA on her sophomore year and Billie was left behind and thought no more about it. After Billie finished university and worked several years, he decided to move to Canada with the help of his Aunt Vicky and Uncle Johnny Rubio. Miles away, both living their own lives, destiny made its way for them to meet again. While bored and browsing facebook to while away the time, Billie saw Billy from his friends' suggestion. Without hesitation, he added her but got no response right away. After a few weeks of waiting, she eventually accepted him. So glad and excited, Billie eagerly messaged her pretending that he only wants to ask about her brother but the truth is he was really mesmerized by her beauty! They started talking about everything, even nonsense, and eventually video calling. They were so happy at this turn of events and though they were miles away, it did not hinder the love that later, they naturally developed for each other. On October 10, 2018, they finally met again and the rest as they often say, is history.
