Piazza Tasso is the lively main square in Sorrento, surrounded by cafés, restaurants, and shops. Aside from your hotel, this is where you can easily get a Taxi. "Fauno Bar" is located in the center of Piazza Tasso. You can use this as your GPS landmark.
These streets are where you’ll find most of Sorrento’s shops and restaurants. Take a walk down any of these streets to buy limoncello, leather bags/goods, jewelry, gelato and souvenirs. You can also sit down at any restaurant and have a great meal. Use "Limonaro Fabbrica Liquori" as your landmark Pro tip: Try to stay away from the restaurants with pictures of food posted outside. These are typically tourist traps.
You will find a few more restaurants, bars, Irish pubs and high-end brand name stores on this street.
A small fisherman's village with great seafood waterfront restaurants such as Bagni Delfino, Porta Marina and Soul & Fish. Note: the walk back to the center of town is up hill.
Ferries depart from here if you’re planning day trips to Positano, Amalfi or the island of Capri. Ferry tickets can be purchased in advance at https://www.ferryhopper.com/en/#/. IMPORTANT: The last ferry from Capri back to Sorrento is usually 7pm so please plan accordingly. We recommend taking a Taxi here instead of walking.
Bagni Regina Giovanna is a natural swimming spot just outside of the main town of Sorrento surrounded by cliffs and old ruins. It’s a beautiful place for a swim in the clear water or just to relax and take in the views. This isn't a typical sandy beach. Be prepared for a short hike down to the water where you can place a towel on the rocks. It is recommended to bring some type of water shoe. Getting there: The best way to get there is to hail a Taxi from your hotel or in Piazza Tasso. This is a popular place to visit even for locals so its best to get there early to mid morning!
Beaches in Sorrento are a little different — the best way to have a beach day is at a beach club! Leonelli’s Beach Club is a public beach club with a sandy area, sun decks, sun beds and umbrellas. Plus easy access to calm, clear water—great for swimming or just relaxing by the sea. There’s also a restaurant and bar if you’d like to grab lunch or a drink with a view. Cost: 2 sunbeds and an umbrella is roughly 50 Euro Getting there: Take the stairs located in Villa Comunale or the public Sorrento Lift which is an elevator that takes you to the beach. Lift Location: Piazza Francesco Saverio Gargiulo - (In the Villa Comunale), 80067 Sorrento (NA) Lift Website: https://www.sorrentolift.it/en/ If you stay at Hotel Continental or Hotel Tramontano, the hotels have a private elevator down to the beach clubs!

One of the best ways to see the Amalfi Coast is by boat. We highly recommend doing a boat tour of either Capri or the Amalfi Coast (If you do Capri, do the Blue Grotto!). There are many Private Boat Tour options through Viator, Airbnb, other excursion sites or even through your hotel. In the past we have used Capri Star Tour (https://www.capristartour.com/) and Restart Boat Tours (https://www.restartboat.it/) which were fantastic. Whats typically included (may vary by tour company): - A friendly, English-speaking skipper and a boat of your choice depending on size of your group - Refreshments like prosecco, water, snacks, plus towels, snorkel gear, and safety equipment - Swimming, snorkeling, and optional stops for lunch or sightseeing in Capri, Positano, Amalfi, or hidden bays - Most tours last about 6–8 hours, giving plenty of time to swim and explore
