Maid of Honor
Emily and Reagan's friendship started before birth. Their mothers worked together while pregnant, and it was fate for them to be best friends. Reagan has been Emily's rock since freshman year of college at the University of Tennessee. As Emily would say, Reagan is her platonic soulmate. You can count on seeing them behind each other through every life milestone. Fun Fact: Reagan is a phenomenal baker, and is currently building her experience with her company R. Sweet Co. She is making the cakes for our wedding! You will not regret placing an order!
Best Man
Alex and Bill's friendship started in August of 2012 at football practice in Buffalo, New York. Their relationship grew throughout high school, and they remained connected through their college years. When Bill moved to Knoxville from Denver, Colorado in 2023, Alex welcomed him with open arms and played a major role in Bill's initial year in Tennessee. Alex attended the University of Tennessee here in Knoxville and decided to stay in the area with his wife, Ashlynn, after graduating. The Drillings live in Maryville, Tennessee with their dog, Joplin (Catahoula Leopard Dog).
Bridesmaid
JJ and Emily met in the summer of 2015. JJ is a professional photographer and captured photos of Emily and her late horse Loki. Throughout the years they became inseparable. JJ is an incredible friend that brings joy wherever she is. Emily and JJ have countless memories that have bonded them for life. Odds are you will hear JJ before you see her...especially if the Chiefs are playing.
Groomsman
Joey and Bill's friendship started during the summer of 2021 in Denver, Colorado. Joey was Bill's next-door neighbor, and their connection flourished as they embarked on multiple off-roading trips in the Rocky Mountains, dog park visits throughout Denver, and camping trips. After Bill moved to Knoxville in 2023, his relationship with Joey remained strong as they made a point to see each other annually and keep in touch. Joey continues to explore Colorado with his wife, Chloe, embarking the Rocky Mountain terrain with their trusty 4th-generation Toyota 4Runner. The Clay's live in Denver, Colorado with their dogs Dude (Bernedoodle) and Susan (Golden Doodle).
Bridesmaid
Emily and Lindsay met in an experimental gym class called Fit and Fun in high school back in 2013. The rest was history as the two bonded over hibachi and what they call "rot time". Rot time is simple, sit on the couch and watch The Devil Wears Prada. Lindsay and Emily kept in touch throughout college and maintained a special relationship. Music festivals, bridal conventions, cycle classes, shopping sprees, TV binge sessions, and so much more are just a few of things Emily and Lindsay love to do together. Fun Fact: If Emily had a dollar for every time someone complimented Lindsay's leg tattoo, Emily would be retired by now.
Groomsman
Bill was fortunate enough to meet Wes at the Plumb Creek Dog Park in Knoxville, Tennessee back in the summer of 2023. Wes, his wife, and their dogs were walking by Mirra and Bill at the park as a conversation ensued. Their connection started strong as Wes' first vehicle was an early 2000s Land Rover Discovery, catching Bill's attention. Their connection continued to grow as they embarked on camping trips in the Smokey Mountains, attended multiple Cars & Coffee events, and travelled to Road Atlanta for Formula Drift in 2024. Wes moved to Knoxville, Tennessee from Bozeman, Montana to pursue an opportunity as a licensed architect. Wes and his wife, Cailtin, are avid travelers, and are parents to their dogs Oni (Husky) and Luna (German Shepherd).
Bridesmaid
Emily and Ashlynn formed their bond when they both lived with Ashlynn's now husband Alex. They were kind enough to let Emily crash their house when her apartment had black mold in it. A beautiful friendship was born that would last a lifetime. Ashlynn was pivotal in Emily forming a relationship with Bill. As Alex likes to say, "He had to create his own family", therefore Bill and I were the missing piece. Emily and Ashlynn will spend their lives celebrating each other wins and happy moments. Together Emily and Ashlynn will "yap" all over the world and solve the worlds problems while the men go off and wander.
Groomsman
Bill and Spencer met at the Boiler Gold Rush orientation at Purdue University in the Fall of 2016. They lived on the same floor of Harrison Hall during their freshman year and pursued Civil Engineering together throughout their time in West Lafayette, Indiana. They spent many late evenings completing geotechnical engineering assignments and studying for a variety of midterm and final examinations. After graduating from Purdue, Bill and Spencer made a point to continue their friendship through annual trips to see each other. Spencer lives with his wife, Rachel (a fellow Purdue Civil Engineer), in Hampstead, Maryland with their cat, Xander (Domestic Medium-Haired Black Cat).
Bridesmaid
Maddie and Emily met at Penrose Farm in 2021. Emily forced Maddie into a friendship as well as Meriah (another bridesmaid). Emily, Maddie, and Meriah formed a trio called the Three Amigos. We went everywhere together. From late night budget flights to Florida, to movie nights in the basement eating hibachi, as long as we were together all was well. Emily is forever in awe of Maddie's kind heart and selfless nature. She is most definitely a moral compass for Emily in making a Christ-Like decision on something. After Emily's late horse Loki died, Maddie stayed consistent in Emily's life despite the trio being broken with this untimely death. She always encouraged Emily to ride and never forget that part of herself. Maddie will forever be part of Emily's life.
Groomsman
Bill and Cole's relationship started in 2017 as Bill was seeking out a lab partner in Physics 172 at Purdue University. In the beginning of the semester, Bill saw Cole walk into the lab and immediately asked him to join his group. Their connection grew as they pursued Civil Engineering together in West Lafayette. They were study partners and assignment buddies. After graduation, Cole and Bill made an effort to continue their relationship through annual trips to reconnect. Cole lives in Jacksonville, Illinois and works as a Civil Engineer for a design company.
Bridesmaid
Rachel and Emily go way back in life. They are second cousins but to them they are sisters. They have so many countless memories traveling around the world and dreaming of their futures on the many weekends that Rachel and her father Dale came to visit. Rachel and Emily are what they like to call "trauma bonded" together and share a very odd sense of dark humor. Together you see them watching Vanderpump Rules, playing the Sims, silently judging family members, and more. Rachel is Emily's sister for life.
Groomsman
Bill met David at Purdue University during their Calculus II course in 2017. They would often work on homework together and would take any opportunity to do some fun driving when it snowed in West Lafayette. Their relationship blossomed after graduating, as Bill was living in Denver, Colorado. Denver was the perfect spot for David to layover when driving or flying out west to itch his travelling bug. Bill and David explored a variety of states by "roughing it", camping overnight, and blitzing to the next airport to make it back to work on a Monday. They overlanded in Eastern California, Nevada, Utah, and Northern Arizona using David's perfectly maintained Lexus GX460. David currently lives in Columbus, Ohio and is a test engineer/driver for Honda America.
Bridesmaid
Meriah and Emily formed a relationship at Penrose Farm, like Maddie. We were the infamous Three Amigos. To know Meriah, is to make fun of her and her many ailments. Emily promises that she loves it and will joke right along with you. Meriah is a genuine friend that Emily is forever grateful for. In fact, Meriah was the only friend present in the room when Emily lost her horse Loki. She was steadfast and protective over Emily and helped pick up the broken pieces of her heart. When Meriah moved for work after graduating, Emily definitely felt a big part of her life was missing. However, they have continued to remain in constant contact and visit whenever possible. It is safe to say Meriah will be around forever.
Groomsman
Bill was fortunate enough to meet Josh through Emily's best friend and maid of honor, Reagan. They instantly connected as they share a major interest in Legos and enjoy all things science and rockets. Josh and Bill embarked on a couple of beach trips with their significant others and grew a fond interest in kite flying. Josh lives in Maryville, Tennessee with his wife, Reagan.
Caninemaid
Crouton is a Great Pyrenees Siberian Husky and has been the piece of Emily and Bill's family they did not know they needed. We stole him from my sister Sarah and the rest is history. He is a joy and humorous addition to our family that we are so blessed with. He continues to be the star of the show on every walk, when a firetruck passes by, and if Bill stares at him just a little bit too long.
Canineman
Mirra (My-Ruh) is a pitbull, German-shepherd mix, and has been Bill's best friend since April 26th, 2021. As soon as Bill met Mirra at the Denver Dumb Friends League, he knew they were a match. Mirra has been places not many dogs have been, including the infamous Red Cone Pass in Colorado. She's been Bill's off-roading, overlanding, and driving buddy for thousands of miles. The pair can't wait to see where the road takes them in the future. Mirra lives a great life in Knoxville, Tennessee with Emily, Bill and her brother Crouton.
