Things To Do

Whether you are a local or a first-timer to the 'Daks - welcome! Growing up with our families, and now together, we have spent our lives learning about and from the wonders of our favorite park on the planet. It's impossible for us to list all of our recommendations, but below please find some of the more accessible spots from Tupper.

Raquette River Brewing

11 Balsam Street, Tupper Lake, NY 12986
, (518) 359-5219

This classic hangout serves up delicious brews in an indoor/outdoor venue. It's also Clare's favorite place to smash an entire growler of Mango Wheat Ale.

Tupper Lake Triad

Mt Arab Road, Piercefield, NY 12973

Conquer these short, but rewarding local hikes (Coney Mtn, Mt Arab, and Goodman Mtn) and get a patch upon completion!

Ampersand Mountain

Rte 3, Harrietstown, NY 12983

This 5-mile round trip is of our favorites for sunsets and sunrises with its 360 deg views.

Bog River Falls

Route 421, Piercefield, NY 12973

The nearby Bog River pours into the southern tip of Tupper Lake via a beautiful set of falls which can be easily accessible through some short walking paths. Keep an eye out for loon, osprey, and bald eagles!

Raquette River Outfitters

1754 New York 30, Tupper Lake, NY 12986
, (518) 359-3228

Complete canoe and kayak outfitter offering canoe, kayak, and SUP rentals and sales, camping equipment, maps, paddle gear, fly fishing supplies, and guided trips.

Tupper Lake Golf Club

141 Country Club Road, Tupper Lake, NY 12986
, (518) 359-3701

Scenic golfing with views of Big Tupper and the surrounding mountains.

Tupper Lake Municipal Park

17-19 Demars Boulevard, Tupper Lake, NY 12986

Grab some food to-go from one of the many joints in town (we suggest grabbing some to-go dishes from Well Dressed Foods, The Hub, or Little Italy) and have a picnic on the shore of Tupper Lake.

Adirondack Experience, The Museum on Blue Mountain Lake

9097 New York 30, Indian Lake, NY 12812
, (518) 352-7311

With more than 20 buildings nestled across 120 acres overlooking Blue Mountain Lake, their open-air campus offers opportunities to row an authentic guideboat, break up a logjam, climb a classic ADK fire tower, or enjoy a family-friendly hike to Minnow Pond.
