We’re getting married!!!

We met in 2015; on the very first day of freshman year at SCSU. He walked into our orientation classroom and came right up to me sitting at my desk. "Hi, I'm Andrew!" he said as he stuck out his hand. "Hi, I'm Emily," I said as I shook his hand, surprised by the chivalrous gesture. We shared our major and hometown with each other and quickly realized how much we had in common. We had most of our first semester classes together and shared mutual friends. We would see each other almost every day. We became friends, then best friends, and shortly after, inseparable. In 2017, we officially began to date. Many fond memories were made: movie dates to Cinemark North Haven, Andrew's fraternity formal, endless trips to the beach, surviving calculus together, Peer Mentor training, and binging The Walking Dead. Even when I transferred to Albany, Andrew made every effort to visit. It wasn't long before I returned home and our memory making continued. We traveled up and down New England visiting most of the coastal towns. Post-graduation and post-only living a floor away from each other, we moved home to our, thankfully, neighboring towns. We moved in together in June 2023. After surviving building furniture together, we knew we would last forever. Andrew's LOVE of cats rubbed off on me and I couldn't resist surprising him with Obi in October. Less than a year later, along came Sonny (also my doing). After nearly 8 years, THE day finally came. On September 7th, 2024, Andrew proposed in front of Castle Hill Lighthouse in Newport, RI. It was the happiest day of our lives. We are so excited to get married (hence the planning of a wedding in less than a year) and to celebrate with our closest family and friends. Thank you for being here!
