Should I come to San Diego for a longer visit?

Answer

Absolutely! There's a lot to see and do. Melissa and Jared will be around for the week before/after the wedding and would love to spend time with everyone.

Is the wedding at the Japanese Friendship Garden?

Answer

Yes, however you will want to navigate to the Inamori Pavilion & The Lower Garden Venue, 2220 Paseo De Oro, San Diego. Please see the next parking FAQ if you are driving and parking.

Where should I park?

Answer

"Balboa Park Parking" at the top of Paseo de Oro, or the "Pan American Plaza Parking Lot." You can enter these names into your navigation system. Shuttles are available from the parking lot to the venue (see separate question). Note: Do NOT park at Gold Gulch Parking Lot, as a permit is required to park there.

Is there a shuttle available?

Answer

Yes, for those who are driving and parking at the venue, there will be a shuttle from the top parking lots at Balboa Park to the Lower Garden Venue. Pickup location is TBD.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The weather should be warm and clear (rain is rare this time of year). The average temperature in San Diego in September is 71°F or 22°C. The average low at night however can be a bit cooler, 66°F or 19°C.

Where should I stay?

Answer

Anywhere near Balboa Park will be convenient. Most locations in San Diego proper are 15 minutes or less from the wedding venue. Note that there are no hotels within walking distance of the venue. Please see the Travel page for more recommendations!
