Shark Reef aquarium at Mandalay is an excellent choice for kids of all ages. It’s an impressive walkthrough with a giant predator focused exhibit at the end that everyone should see once.
Bodies at Luxor is creepy, cool, and educational. Titanic is impressive and heartbreaking, and probably best-suited to a teen familiar with the history of the ill-fated ship.
The Discovery Museum in Downtown Las Vegas is one of the best children’s museums in the world. Featured by many famous content creators (think Blippi), it’s a perfect daytime activity for kids aged 3-13.
For super small kids, 10 and under specifically but more geared towards toddler and preschool age, check out Kangamoo indoor play place near the airport. Experience all day indoor play for around $15 per child. Parents are free and can enjoy the coffee lounge, complimentary massage chairs, and WiFi. This venue is kept clean, safe and is an absolute hidden gem.
Is Area 15 really worth the hype? Yes. This is worth a whole day by itself. This is a fantastic family activity, date activity, or even just a fun excuse to cosplay and walk around. Area 15 is a giant black warehouse full of psychedelic art installations, virtual reality, interactive activities, unique food, and spectacular visuals. It’s like “a rave at Burning Man constructed by aliens” and is suitable for guests of all ages. General admission is free and the activities inside are a la carte. I highly recommend Omega Mart, which is an interactive walk through that will take you into another dimension. You can easily expect to spend 2-3 hours exploring inside Omega Mart. Make sure you find the hidden bar “Datamosh” and enjoy Instagram worthy cocktails from expert mixologists. The zip line here is one you should skip. After 10 pm this place is 21+ only and it’s perfect for a surreal late night vibe. The Oddwood bar located under the psychedelic fairy tree is worth a stop.
