For a budget property, it’s always The Orleans. I love the Louisiana theme, the delicious gumbo at Big Al’s Oyster Bar, the oversized hotel rooms, and incredibly affordable room service pricing. I like the quiet comfort of their giant sparkling pool, the on-site movie theater, and the arcade for kids. Live music at Bailiwick and an excellent steak at Alder & Birch are both reasons why I frequently pop in to play free play or take out of town guests for a meal. They comp generously and often and parking is uncomplicated, well lit, and free. For a luxury property, no one holds a candle to Red Rock. Even the most basic room includes a soaking tub and stunning views. The restaurants on property are all top notch. They comp generously and often and offer gamblers lots of amenities like daybeds and cabanas or private VIP boxes in the movie theater. The year round pool is the most family friendly in the city and it becomes a local haven in the summer. My favorite on-strip budget resort is Park MGM. It’s the only non-smoking casino resort and they have great food options and are walkable to center strip. My favorite on-strip luxury resort is Cosmopolitan. You can spend your entire vacation here and get a full Vegas experience. Lots of cool speakeasies, great food, stunning rooms, and the best views in the city.
