Where are the ceremony and reception being held?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be at The Bar Harbor Club at 111 West Street in Bar Harbor, Maine.

What time is the ceremony? What time is the reception?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 4:30pm. The reception will follow immediately after the ceremony at the same venue.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside on the lawn and patio of The Bar Harbor Club. The reception will be inside the ballroom at The Bar Harbor Club. In case of rain, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be held inside The Bar Harbor Club.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

A cocktail hour on the outdoor patio follows immediately after the ceremony. Then we will move inside for the reception.

What is the suggested dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Cocktail attire - cocktail dresses, little black dresses, dressy jumpsuits, jackets and slacks.

What weather should I expect?

Answer

Bar Harbor generally has a bit of a breeze. Expect the temperature to be in the low 70s during the day and in the 50s at night. The breeze off the ocean often feels quite cool at night so it is always a good idea to have a jacket or some kind of cover on hand.

What are the meals going to be?

Answer

Beef - Garlic Rubbed Filet of Beef with Wild Mushrooms, Yukon Potato Puree, and Veal Stock Reduction Fish - Georges Bank Haddock with Local Crab Meat, Quinoa Pilaf, and Béarnaise Vegetarian - Grilled Stuffed Portobello with Local Goat Cheese, Roasted Petit Vegetables, Roasted Ancient Grains, and Roasted Pepper Butter Children's Meal (ages 10 and under) - Chicken Fingers and Fries

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Follow Maine Route 3 East onto Mount Desert Island (MDI). Bear left at the fork just after the bridge onto MDI and follow 9.8 miles. Turn left onto West Street and The Bar Harbor Club will come up on your left after 0.3 miles. Park in the lot at The Harborside Hotel, just past The Bar Harbor Club.
