Question

Do you have a hotel room block?

Answer

Yes! We’ve secured a block of rooms at the hotels as listed on our accommodations page. To take advantage of the group discount you must book your room(s) before May 4, 2018. In that this is a holiday weekend and accommodations are limited, we encourage you to book early. Airbnb and VRBO are also great options to rent local houses or condos.

Where will the ceremony and reception be held?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will take place at The Boettcher Mansion. The address is: 900 Colorow Road Golden, CO 80401 http://jeffco.us/boettcher-mansion/ Transportation to/from the ceremony and reception will be offered so please check back for more information.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We hope our wedding will be a fun excuse to wear your favorite cocktail attire. And, since our wedding will be in Colorado, cowboy boots and Western attire are completely optional.

Any other special attire notes we should know?

Answer

Temperatures in the mountains tend to be a bit cooler than other places and they tend to dip a bit at night. Since portions of our wedding will hopefully be outside you might want to bring a jacket or wrap. And, generally, the weather in Colorado tends to be quite mercurial. We encourage you to come prepared for sun and warm temperatures, afternoon rain showers, and perhaps even snow (let's hope not...)

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love little ones, our wedding ceremony and reception will be adults only. Knowing that many guests will be traveling from out of town, perhaps with kids in tow, please contact us at seegeranddunbar@gmail.com to discuss possible options to accommodate your children.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! There will absolutely be transportation to/from the hotels/Golden area to the Boettcher Mansion. Additional information will be shared closer to the date of the wedding.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, of course! There is parking available at the Boettcher Mansion for wedding guests. We'd encourage you to take the shuttle to make life easier.

Will food and drinks be served?

Answer

Of course! We will have passed appetizers, a full open bar, as well as a full dinner meal and desserts. Our main mission is for you to eat, drink, and be merry.

Please check out the schedule tab to see what we're planning for the weekend. Our goal is to see as much of you as possible as you help us celebrate our special day so hopefully you'll enjoy other events or activities too.

What about the altitude? Will that affect me?

Answer

Located at about 6,000 feet above sea level, some folks are affected by altitude sickness when they visit Golden and other Colorado locales. If you're visiting from out of town, we'd encourage you to drink plenty of water (more than you think you should!), monitor your alcohol intake (we don't want to be a buzz kill... alcohol may affect you more quickly here than on the East Coast), watch your physical activity (the effects of exercise and strenuous activity are more intense at high altitude), wear plenty of sunscreen (the sun feels much stronger here than other places), dress in layers, and most importantly, enjoy yourself.
