A beautiful location for a walk in downtown Charleston. A perfect backdrop for pictures and if you continue down this road it will take you straight to The Battery!

Children's Museum of the Lowcountry

Although there isn't anything quite "historic" in here, it is a great place to spend time with kids in the A/C!!

Aquarium Wharf

Great experience for just about anyone! It is right on the Charleston Harbor and gets new exhibits all the time. JD and I even "modeled" here one time for an after-hours event.

Palmetto Carriage Works

JD and I have done 2 carriage rides together, and on each tour we have learned new things about Charleston that have surprised us! We enjoy the rides but recommend tours earlier in the morning or later in the evening to avoid the heat.

Arthur Ravenel Junior Bridge

Get out there and walk the bridge! I would recommend doing this later in the evening as it will be hot as Hades in Charleston in June!

Fort Sumter Tours

Interested in a little history? Check out this tour of Fort Sumter, which was utilized during the Civil War.

Boone Hall Plantation & Gardens

Another historical tour that is worth every minute, in fact we almost got married here!

Palmetto Islands County Park

A great spot for the kids to play at the water park or go for a walk around the park. JD and I often take our dog on a walk through this park, beautiful during any season!

Cinebarre Mount Pleasant 11

Want to catch dinner and a movie? Well you can do that here! This is one of our favorite places, as we both enjoy just about any movie that comes out! Keep in mind, it is a little pricey. JD usually orders the "Lord of the Wings" and I usually get "Knotting Hill".

This was one of our first "traditions" together. We love to come to Toast, every Sunday to enjoy brunch together. JD's favorite dish is the Corned Beef Hash and Eggs, and I usually go with the Classic Breakfast. They also have incredible Mimosas and they have house-infused vodka for delicious Bloody Mary's! JD typically mixes their bacon and jalapeño vodkas for a Bloody Mary.

Mondo's Italian Restaurant

This is one of our favorite spots for date night! (Or at least one of my favorite spots, it might just be JD's way of spoiling me!)

Carolina Ale House

A place with good food and an even better view of Marion Square in downtown Charleston.

King Street Cookies

Have a crazy sweet tooth? This place is definitely worth checking out! They typically have around 20 different types of cookies to choose from!

Red's Ice House

Great area on the water in Mount Pleasant, good for happy hour or dinner!

Tavern & Table

Right on the water on Shem Creek, next door to Red's Ice House. Betsy has worked there (on and off) since they opened. Great for a date night, but often very busy during the summer so reservations are recommended.

Poe's Tavern

A very good place for lunch or dinner on Sullivan's Island. An interesting atmosphere inspired by Edgar Allen Poe.

Acme Lowcountry Kitchen

A great place for brunch! Typically very busy, so try to make a reservation if you can.

Sea Biscuit Cafe

A delicious and inexpensive place for brunch or lunch.

Page's Okra Grill

Excellent crab cakes, and they have really good chicken and waffles.
