Thank goodness that the state of North Carolina requires all students to take a Civics class in high school, or Sara and I may have missed each other! Sara is a steadfast friend with impeccable taste in clothes, good times, and weird music. While we have physically moved apart from each other, with a recent move back together, our friendship endures the time and space like no thang.

I ate my lunch alone my junior year of high school at a new school until this sweet lady asked me to join her. Since that day, her love and support has kept me afloat during calculous and other heartbreaks. While now in Spain with her delightful fiancé/husband Rafa stuffing her face with ham, our friendship and inside jokes will forever live on.

Stacy and I went to UNC Asheville together, and become roommates my last year of school. Living with someone gives the friendship a certain unbreakable bond that survives the flu, pet ducklings, the Avett Brother's new albums, and rotten tomatoes. Stacy is an excellent chef, friend, athlete, and artistic creator. They currently live in Asheville with their girlfriend, exploring the mountains via hikes and bike rides.

Could a person even dream of a better little sister than the one I have?! Mia is a thoughtful, brilliant, polyglot who is about to graduate high school and begin the next adventure! If you want to get her talking, ask about her favourite burger or ice cream- she is a devout foodie and can give you the dets for the best in most major cities in the world!

A best friend is supposed to be loving, thoughtful, steadfast and true. Rob taught me a best friend should also be a teacher, a leader, a listener, and an inspiration. He has taught me many climbing and life lessons, making me into a better, more sensitive person. I look forward to us being old and grey, listening to Dessa and bemoaning the trendy habits of the new generation of trad climbers.

Casey and I met while at a tragically terrible job in Chattanooga. We bonded over work horror stories and homemade vegan ice cream. Since then, our friendship has only strengthened, and I was able to visit her in the hospital at the birth of the most darling little girl in the world. She asked me to be by her side at her wedding, and I cannot imagine a better friend to stand by my side on this special day.

Emma is the cousin that everyone wants, but only a few ever have the privilege of having. She is kind, thoughtful, terribly funny, and can't make it through any movie without falling asleep half way through. Although her partner, Kellen, and I have fundamentally different views on Jazz music, we make a happy group when we are together, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

A "short note" about Joyful couldn't possibly capture what an incredible person she is- the most creative, thoughtful, caring, and loyal human being out there. You will see her murals around Chattanooga, and her art in many homes (including my own!). We acro together, climb together, cook together, laugh together, silk together, and love each other endlessly. She is the one person I would trust to love my cats just as much as I do.

We used to think we were telepathic. Hey, my early teen years were weird. And made so much better by the constant love, support, and laughter from this one. We have kept a friendship up across the ocean, across space, and across time. She is a one of a kind amazing, hilarious, big hearted friend. Diolch cariad.

Love my cat. My cat loves Spencer. I love Spencer. He offered me his home when I needed one, he offered me hugs and the great joy of chilling with Tillman. And of course, he also offered unwanted 2:00AM Ramstein singalongs in the kitchen. But hey, that's Victory hospitality. A true friend to both of us, we couldn't wish for a more outspoken, big hearted friend to officiate our wedding.

Matt "Fitz" and I were on the West Point Climbing Team together from 2010-2013. We spent many weekends climbing together in the Gunks and elsewhere. We commissioned into the Infantry, and lived together while at IBOLC at Fort Benning, GA. We have stayed in contact since Fitz headed out to Hawaii and I went to Colorado. Fitz is now pursuing a law degree at Vanderbilt University. Though we talk inconsistently, when I need advice or a sanity check, he is the first person I call.

Alex and I attended West Point together from 2009-2013, but I didn't get to know him until we lived together in Fort Carson, Colorado. He was my reluctant adventure partner for two years. During that time, I had the dubious honor of teaching him to ski, just well enough for him to tear his ACL after I left Colorado. We share the same passion for fitness and teaching others to live a healthier lifestyle.

First time I met Chad, he was this lanky guy walking down the carriage road at the Gunks with holes in the knees of both legs of his pants, and a crash pad on his back. A small black dog named Diablo followed. After that we began to climb together just about every weekend, and have made it a point to take a climbing trip together every year from Norway to Chattanooga to Las Vegas. I owe a lot of my passion for climbing to the mentorship he gave me.

Brother of 25 years. Punching bag of 20 years. Friend for the rest of my life.

Mali is the other "M" of the DiMeo siblings, and just like me, enjoys sitting down with a good book. She just returned from a semester abroad in Greece (also her first college semester!) and is now in Boston at Northeastern. I love having her close enough for a weekend trip, and look forward to more adventures together.

Jaden is the younger "J" of the family, and also has the largest personality of any of us. She is an excellent athlete, making second team all-state for softball in Colorado, and I am so proud of her.
Flower Child
I met this little girl a few hours after her birth, and it was one of the more special moments of my life. Whenever I visit her, I am amazed at her sweet smile, her laugh, and her enthusiasm for life. She is an obvious choice for flower child, and I couldn't be more excited to have this delightful little one walk before me down the aisle.

This little dinosaur makes my work visits to Texas worth it (sorry boss, but it's true!) Kyden is intelligent, delightful, and full of energy. This little guy will have you laughing and running after him in seconds. Can't wait to see you soon, love, your Buffin
