Shuttle
July 19, 2025 3:00 pm - 12:00 am
We will have two shuttles for the night. Please RSVP if you want to use the shuttle! First shuttle will leave the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn at 3:00 pm. This will be reserved for family and some friends. Those taking this shuttle will be informed! The second wave of shuttles will leave the hotel at 4:00 pm. Shuttles will leave the wedding at 10 pm, 11 pm, and midnight and drop off at the Best Western Hood River. No need to sign up for a return shuttle. There should be enough space for everyone in case we all stay until midnight!
Hotel
This is the location of our room block, our rehearsal dinner and welcome party, and the pick up/drop off for the wedding shuttle. It's where we're staying, and we'd love for you to join us! This is not your typical Best Western (and the prices reflect that). It's so pretty - right on the river with an outdoor pool and hot tub, a beautiful view, great restaurant, and a private beach. There is also a walking path along the river to take you to the marina and bars/restaurants. Most of the 25 rooms in our block have been reserved. Our advice is to call the hotel directly to see what remains. Their phone number is (541) 386-2200. Be sure to mention that you are booking in the Ingram/Becker room block.
Hotel
This hotel is across the river from Hood River. It is a beautiful property, and we love it here! It's a great option if you're willing and able to drive. They are booking now.
Hotel
This hotel is down the path from the Best Western Hood River Inn. Open for booking.
Hotel
If you're just staying one night for the wedding, we'd recommend staying here. Just a 7 minute walk from the venue. Open for booking.
Flight
PDX is the closest airport to the Columbia River Gorge.
Travel Note
There are three methods to travel between PDX and Cascade Locks/Hood River - 1) Renting a car, 2) Taking a bus, and 3) Arranging a shuttle or getting a Lyft/Uber from the airport (which are expensive!). The bus is affordable and we have described it below, but we highly recommend renting a car as it will be more convenient and allow you to see tons of attractions while visiting! While you can get one from PDX (one way), Lyft/Uber do not operate in the Columbia River Gorge area. See below for the taxi/shuttle service in the gorge. We hope that our guests can share rental cars/rides during the weekend events if driving is needed. Please let us know if you'd like contacts to ride share. If you stay in Hood River, it is very walkable and a car won't be needed much if you're not planning to go out and explore the area. We will have a shuttle to take people safely from Hood River to the wedding venue and back. Please RSVP for this in the RSVP section if you are interested in taking the shuttle!
Train
If you don't want to rent a car, you can do your travel entirely via public transportation. The MAX is $2.50 per person per trip or $5 total depending on duration/travel in one day. Once you get to Gateway Transit Center, you would take a bus to Hood River.
Train
Not a train, but a bus system connecting the public transit system in Portland (the MAX) to Hood River, Oregon. You would take this after taking the MAX red line from the Airport to the Gateway Transit Center stop, where the Columbia Gorge Express (also known as the CAT) picks up passengers. You need to book in advance, so if this is your choice, reserve seats a few days in advance! Also, you can book multiple stops, including stopping at Multnomah Falls (iconic attraction!). You will have to pay to use this service, but once you have paid, you will be able to use the public transit buses in Hood River as well.
