Morning Hike

This is a 3 mile out-and-back hike, about a 30 minute drive from the Best Western Hood River. Stop to get a $5 day hiking permit on the way at the Hood River Ranger Station - 6780 OR-35, Mt Hood, OR 97041 Please carpool because parking is limited! https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/oregon/tamanawas-falls-trail
Lunch

We will stop at the Gorge White House for lunch after the hike. We hope the hikers and non-hikers will meet us here! This is a lovely space with U-Pick flowers and berries, a delicious food cart, and wine/cider. Something for everyone! We won’t have reserved seating, but there are some picnic tables and plenty of grass available. If you’re local, we would appreciate it if you could bring any extra portable seating or blankets to share! We'll be in the Riverview Room at the hotel. We'll have a family-only rehearsal dinner here from 6 - 7 pm. Welcome party for everyone starts at 7 pm, and drinks will be provided! (Please eat an early dinner beforehand, or count on being a cheap date!)

Shuttle from Best Western Plus Hood River Inn to the Wedding Venue

The first shuttle for family will leave the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn at 3:00 pm. Shuttles for everyone else will leave the hotel at 4:00 pm. Please be prompt! Return shuttles from the venue to the hotel leave at 10:00 pm, 11:00 pm, and 12:00 am.

Pre-ceremony hang - 4:30 pm Ceremony - 5:00 pm Happy hour - 5:30 - 6:30 pm Beer and wine, appetizers, and yard games Reception - 6:30 - 10:00 pm Toasts, dinner, and dancing The ceremony and happy hour will be on a lawn, so please wear appropriate shoes for grass. Weather for this time of the year in the gorge is typically warm/hot during the day (and windy) and cool at night.

Return shuttles will leave Gorges at 10:00 pm, 11:00 pm, and 12:00 am to drop guests off at the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn. If you are staying elsewhere, please see Transportation tab for information on how to arrange transportation. There is no Uber/Lyft in this area.

We'll be back at Ferment for brunch on the morning after the wedding. Join us on the patio for a coffee, recovery beverage, and/or brunch and say goodbye! (We won't have a reserved area, but the space is big. We hope to at least give you a hug before you head home!)
