Wedding Party

Meet our Wedding Party in their own words and in no particular order an in their own words!

Katelyn Bowman

Matron of Honor

Bethany is my childhood best friend, my partner in off-key singing, living-room dance parties, and a thousand memories that still make me smile. We truly grew up side by side, through every silly phase and meaningful moment. Our adventures to Kings Island—laughing in line, screaming on rides, and making those days unforgettable. Especially now that we are still creating memories at kings island with Lincoln and Mazikeen. No matter how much time passes or how life changes, that bond is so special.

Scott Ball

Best Man

We met over 5 years ago while he was working at Auto Zone. I was in need of parts for my axle swap and a hand doing the job. He offered and that is where the brotherhood began. Shortly after we became hunting and fishing buddies. Sharing memories with families and friends. Proud to call him my brother.

Bethany and I went to Greenville high school together but we never truly connected due to being a few grades apart. Thankfully our partners have been best buds for years, so we’ve had the opportunity to get to become friends over this past year. I’m excited for the memories we’re going to make over the years! Can’t wait to stand by your side on this special day.

I met Jonathan over twenty-one years ago during the first time I went to his family’s annual Halloween party. I knew him through his sister Erija, and I would always see him running around during her birthday parties and whenever our baseball game times overlapped at the ballpark. When Erija and I first started dating, Jonathan was always around (in the best way possible). Even when he was younger, he was not one for being bored and always seemed to find some kind of adventure. From getting followed by a bear cub down in Gatlinburg because he was shooting his slingshot in the woods to him trying to ramp his bike over a rock pile at the bottom of his parent’s empty pond, he’s always been funny, “spirited”, and ready for a good time. But anyone who is lucky enough to know him also knows that he has the biggest heart and will always be there for anyone. I’m very thankful and lucky that I’ve had such a genuine person in my life for so long.

Bethany and I met when she began dating my brother in 2024. Ever since that time, I knew she was something special, mostly because she was willing to put up with all of his shenanigans. She is kind and genuine, and I’m so excited to officially welcome her into the Nealeigh family, even though she has felt like one of us from day one!

It was your first day with the new unit and you got paired with me to be your sponsor to teach you about the unit and our job. And from that moment I knew we’d be good friends from how we that first hello was said

Bethany and I met in 2019 at Ohio State University. We were both just beginning our journeys toward earning our bachelor’s degrees in social work—excited, a little nervous, and ready to take on the world. We never missed an opportunity to catch up, especially when we rarely saw one another. Whether it was grabbing coffee, sitting together for lunch, or calling Bethany for a last-minute APA citation check, she was always my go-to person, and finally celebrated us graduating college. I will never forget the day Bethany called me, absolutely ecstatic, to share that Jonathan had finally found her. Even more special, we became Army sisters at the same time, as both of our partners serve. When Jonathan was preparing for a deployment to the same place my husband had just returned from, Bethany was there for me during one of the hardest years of my life—and now I am so grateful to have the opportunity to be there for her. Bethany is truly one of the kindest and hardest-working people I have ever met. She has a rare ability to make people feel heard, understood, and supported, and she will go out of her way to ensure no one feels alone. She genuinely cares for others, and that compassion shines through in everything she does. I am incredibly honored to stand by Bethany’s side on this very special day and to witness her and Jonathan grow together as a couple. Their love, strength, and partnership are truly something special, and I couldn’t be happier for them.

Jonathan and I met August of 2018. I got promoted into G Co 237th where Jonathan was already at. I was his squad leader and from that point on our friendship started and grew stronger. We had some great times and some times it was late nights and early mornings during ammo missions to support the 148 with the ranges. In the end of 2024, Jonathan was promoted into the 1483rd and then was picked up to go on the 1487th for their deployment. Once he started reporting to the 1487th to prep for the deployment, I was promoted into the 1483rd as a Platoon Sergeant, where once Jonathan gets back from his deployment, he will be in my platoon once again. Jonathan has always been my go to when it comes to needing something done, he is such a genuine person and I am so thankful to call him my good friend.

I’ve known Bethany for three-ish years. It wasn’t until about a year ago that I really started to get to know her, though. Fun fact, I witnessed Bethany & Jonathan’s first meeting at my husband’s family event that his military unit was hosting (Jonathan was in the same unit). I think Jonathan was a little shy at first, but that’s okay because it worked out. 😜And then a few weeks later, their relationship started to bloom 🌸 Another fun fact, Bethany and I are major Swiftie’s. We went to Young's Dairy farm in an attempt to try the Taylor Swift sundae for The Life of A Showgirl album release. Sadly, we didn’t get the orange glittery bowls that the sundaes were served in but we tried and had fun. After that, we went to the movies to watch the movie that Taylor released for her new album. My husband complains about how I only listen to Taylor Swift in my car. Bethany tells me that Jonathan does the same thing, too. So already, you can see that we have two staples in common: My husband and Bethany’s soon to be husband are in the military and Bethany and I are Swiftie’s for life. With all of that being said, I wish Bethany & Jonathan nothing but the very best that life has to offer ✨☀️🫶 Ps. Bethany - let’s hope we don’t have too many champagne problems the night before your bridal shower (IYKYK)

Jason Bishop Jr

Groomsman

I first met him in 2019—young, full of energy, and willing to work under any conditions without hesitation. From day one, he made it clear he wanted to rise through the ranks, and he proved it by never shying away from the toughest, dirtiest jobs just to get the mission done. He might not have been the “smartest cookie in the box,” but he was always one of the hardest workers when given the right tools and guidance. He followed orders without question, never complained, and never left a friend or fellow Soldier behind. Today, even while deployed, he stands as a leader in his own right. Through adversity and a life-changing accident that could’ve taken him in a completely different direction, he fought his way back, stayed in the Army, and continued to rise. Now he’s doing big things overseas, leading with pride, and serving his country with the same relentless drive he showed from day one. We’re all proud of you—keep doing your thing, stay safe, and get back home to us soon.

I met Bethany in 2022, I had just started talking to my husband and I got to be with her after her Dad and Amy had gotten married, I moved in a couple months later and really got to start knowing her, but I didn’t really get to know the real Bethany until I was about to get married, we spent a beautiful day dress shopping and eventually spent a lot of time together in Pigeon Forge on the Island. Over those 3 years I not only gained a sister but a friend. Bethany is a wonderful, intelligent, deep woman who I love to call my sister in law!

The first time I met Jonathan we where having a family dinner, at first I wasn't to sure about him, but you know what he was one funny guy. But as time went by the more he came over, the more I got to know him, I got closer with him. The more I knew he was perfect for my sister! Jonathan and I have had a lot of one on one talks and he has became one of my mentors. We've gone to Top Golf several times, he's helped me when I've struggled and needed help with my truck and most importantly he became a big brother, he even reads books to my son. Everyday I'm blessed that God walked Jonathan into our family's life because not only did he have an impact on my sister, he made an impact on my entire family. I couldn't be more thankful for who my sister welcomed into her life!
