Want to learn more about our gorgeous venue before you arrive for the ceremony? The library gives free Art and Architecture tours on Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. Pick up some trivia to wow your table at dinner!
Sure, Boston gets chilly in the winter, but there is no shortage of indoor activities. Check out the Museum of Fine Arts - there's something for everyone here!
You can't go wrong with any of the North End restaurants, but if you want our favorite place when we're craving Italian, Cantina Italiana can't be missed. Afterwards, grab a cannoli from Modern and another from Mike's and help settle the city-wide debate over which is better.
Almost always busy (reservations definitely recommended!), Island Creek is one of Jeff's personal favorites. Island Creek is your stop for quintessential New England seafood and raw bar.
Take a free tour of the brewery, enjoy sampling of three different beers, and learn more about Boston's most recognized beer - Sam Adams.
Bethany prefers Fenway when the Orioles are in town and Jeff would rather watch the White Sox, but baseball fans of any team should not miss out on the chance to take a tour of this quintessential American ballpark!
Boston Common is the nation's oldest city park and transforms the children's wading pool to an outdoor ice rink in the winter months. Enjoy an afternoon skate the same way Bethany and Jeff celebrated their first Valentine's Day together.
We couldn't put together a list of our favorite places in Boston without including TD Garden: Home of the Boston Bruins. We've made it our goal to visit all 31 NHL arenas in the U.S. and Canada, but there's no place like home! If you're staying longer and the schedule allows, go to a game and cheer for Boston's Team since 1924!
This unique museum is one of Bethany's favorites. Isabella Stewart Gardner was a prominent art collector in Boston and her legacy lives on in her museum, which feels much more like a home. Enjoy art collected by Isabella from around the world as well as the gorgeous courtyard.
Fish, seals, penguins and some great views of Boston Harbor.
Inside this historic hall, find a variety of food vendors to satisfy your sweet tooth, sample some New England clam chowder, and everything in between!
With three locations throughout the city, Daily Catch is one of our go-tos for great Sicilian-style pasta and seafood dishes. The seaport location is their largest location (and accepts reservations). Great any time of year for a good meal, but especially spring and summer when you can take in Boston’s skyline from their outdoor patio.
Casual, classic New England seafood. For those staying at any of our hotel room blocks, Summer Shack’s Dalton St. location is a quick walk or trip on the T and a great spot for a casual lunch or dinner.
For our beer-loving guests, Harpoon is another great stop on your trip to Boston. Enjoy the Harpoon Beer Hall for a tour, samplings of Harpoon beers, and a small snack.
History buffs will love this trip back to the American Revolution on this 2.5 mile walk (marked by red brick or red paint) through some of Boston's most storied landmarks. Sights on the trail include Paul Revere's house, the Old North Church, the Bunker Hill Monument, the USS Constitution, and the Granary Burying Ground (final resting place of "Mother Goose," Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, and John Hancock).
Another seafood favorite for anyone looking for classic New England fare, Legal Harborside is our favorite of Legal's many spots in the city. Great views and a more casual menu, this is a great lunch option.
If you want to take a little break from the city and check out our neighborhood of Coolidge Corner, check out Zaftig's! Located a short walk from the Green Line "C" Train stop, Zaftig's is our favorite breakfast/brunch spot. If you have the time, it's worth the wait. There's something for everyone!
We love our neighborhood! Coolidge Corner is a short trip from downtown on the Green Line "C" Train and is home to lots of great restaurants and some cute local shops. We love Brookline Booksmith, catching a movie at the Coolidge Corner Theatre, or watching the Bruins one one of Coolidge Corner Clubhouse's many TVs. Come see why we love to call Brookline home.
