Beth & Scot have known each other for 17 years. They met through work in 2005 at CACI and were immediately drawn to each others' energy. After two years, they learned that they had a common bond--Beth's cousin Chris and Scot were best friends in the U.S. Marine Corps! Beth (or "Kat", as she's known as by many of her friends) moved on to pursue her consulting career at Booz Allen Hamilton in 2008, and they stayed in touch. Scot fulfilled his lifelong dream of learning to fly and he and his son, Jackson purchased an RV-6. Over the years, professional conversations softened into a strong friendship grounded in mutual trust and a love for outdoor adventure, particularly hiking the Blue Ridge mountains. Beth moved to Germany in 2019 to serve our country in her own way, uniting communication across our Europe-based U.S. forces fighting the Information War. Despite the ocean between them, their connection grew stronger. Each was a constant source of support and encouragement to the other as they faced challenging times in their lives. Scot visited Beth and they traveled around Europe together and their friendship gradually developed into a love. On Jan 20th, 2020 Scot proposed atop of the Jungfrau glacier outside of Grindelwald, Switzerland (aided by our good friends Thomas & Conny Techow!) It was romantic, exhilarating... and frigidly cold! Two months later, the world began to change. Awakening one morning to the announcement that the borders were closing due to the COVID pandemic, Beth threw what little she could in her suitcase and caught the last flight out. She returned home to Scot's arms on Mar 13th, 2020. They bought a house in Sept in Virginia Beach, VA. With no telling what the future held with the pandemic, and family and friends unable to travel, they eloped on Dec 18th, 2020 at the Virginia Beach Courthouse. We are so thrilled to finally be able to celebrate our love and joining of our lives with you, dearest friends and family. Now, Let's Party!
