Maid of Honor
Friend of the Bride I met Melanie when she started teaching at Florence Middle School in 2010. A friend of ours had told us we should meet and hang out because she thought we would get along great and she was right! We have been partners in crime pretty much since the first day I went to her room to take a picture with her because we were the only two teachers who dressed up for a Homecoming dress up day, haha. She is the kind of friend that is always there for you when you need her, that 3 am kind of friend, and I am so thankful to have her as my maid of honor.
Matron of Honor
Friend of the Bride I don't remember not knowing Baylee, she has been my ride or die for as long as I can remember. We met at church when I was her small group leader when she was in high school. We have known each other for too many years to count. She is like a sister to me. Baylee is usually the introverted one, but don’t let her fool you, she won Chris over with her mad Nicki Minaj-like rap skills. We have been with each other through all of life's milestones over the past few years and I can't imagine walking down the aisle without her as my matron of honor.
Bridesmaid
Sister-in-law of the Bride I met Claire when my brother started dating her when he started college at The University of Alabama. She became my sister when he married her seven years later. I am so thankful that Tyler brought her into my life. I cannot imagine my life without her. She is funny and kind and THE BEST mom to my nephews and niece. I love her more than bacon and I am so thankful that she loves me in return. I am so thankful she agreed to be a part of this special day.
Bridesmaid
Friend of the Bride As I said with Baylee, I also don't remember not knowing Kristy. I met her at church as well, when I was her small group leader. She and I are both type A personalities, so we understand each other on a soul level, haha. Kristy never backs down from a challenge. She pretty much always means business, so if someone is in between her and something she wants, they better watch out! She is always up for a good time and is one of my favorite people to be around. I am so thankful to have her in my life and have her stand by my side for this special day.
Bridesmaid
Friend of the Bride Lindsay was in the same group of girls with Baylee and Kristy that I met at church when I was their small group leader way back when. The four of us have been friends ever since. I call Lindsay my “edgy” friend. She has that cool factor and I always look to her for fashion and makeup advice! She has the best outlook on life and is always laughing. I am so blessed to know her and have her walk down the aisle with me.
Best Man
Friend of the Groom Matt and I met back in our mid-twenties. I had been studying and was the local expert on poison dart frogs of Central and South America. Matt bought a couple of dart frogs and the local pet store employee gave him my number for assistance. Yup! I bet nobody guessed that “how we met story”. We have been good friends ever since.
Groomsman
Friend of the Groom Matt and I met in my sophomore year of high school. Matt’s brother, David, and I were very good friends and had plenty of good times together. Matt was always our reliable distributor (hamburgers, soda, and the works) when it came to HS/College gatherings when Bonnie and Dale were out of town. One time Matt forgot about the ribs in the oven, but otherwise, he’s been pretty good. Matt has always treated me as a little brother and helped me out of a pickle once or twice. Matt and I have been good friends/brothers and I look forward to many more adventures with the family over the years to come.

Friend of the Groom Matt and I met while working together at Navistar Diesel in Huntsville, Alabama, shortly after Matt moved there. I recall hearing about Matt from other co-workers before meeting him and the impression he made was, well, let’s just say he made quite the impression. He and I ended up working together on one of his first projects. It was then we learned we had lots in common and proceeded to somehow not get into too much trouble while hanging out for the next several years. I know Beth and Matt are going to be very happy together for a long time!

Friend of the Groom How I met Matthew…It was a dreary and cloudy day, and everyone was gathered around the fence watching the bus of fresh meat pull in the gate. I must admit, I didn’t think much of Matt the first time I laid eyes on him, looked like a stiff breeze would blow him over, that was my first impression of the man…Oops, wrong movie…Matt was hired as the mechanical engineer to the plant I work at. He was the typical engineer type that was all about calculations, figures and stuff that drives those of us that work in the field bonkers when we must make things work due to real world settings and issues. Engineers think that just because it works on a screen it should work in real life…boy are they wrong… One day, he came in to work in his Pinzgauer, which I mistook for a Unimog (a Mercedes military vehicle) and I, being an offroad aficionado, automatically put aside his engineering faults and gave him the benefit of the doubt that he was a cool dude. I’ve had the pleasure of arguing with him about his Jeep parts, upgrades, purchases, trailer mishaps when he was remodeling, you name it. Matt is a pretty down to earth guy that I’m proud to call a friend. I’m glad he found Beth, they both complement each other very well.

Friend of the Groom Matt and I met while working in Decatur. As a new outside sales rep in the area, Matt became one of my first customers and we quickly became friends. We have been good friends ever since.
Usher
Brother of the Bride Tyler is my brother and the funniest person I know. Since I am almost nine years older than him, one would think that the two of us might not be that close, but the opposite is true. We have always had a very close brother/sister relationship and I am very thankful for that. He is always fun to be around and we have the best time when we are together. I was upset, at first, when he decided to move his family to Orlando five years ago to further his career, but now it just gives me an excuse to take several vacations a year to go see them. When I told him that I was engaged, he told me that he was very happy for me and that he would be a part of my day in any way that I needed him to be. I love him so much and I am so grateful to have him be a part of this special day with me.

Friend of the Bride I met Zach when he started teaching at Florence High School in 2014. Melanie was actually one of the first people to meet him and invite him to one of her famous Halloween parties. Zach and I met at that Halloween party and have been friends ever since. We became really good friends during the quarantine of 2020 when he, I, and a few other of our friends would meet at Deibert park every day and walk because we didn’t have anything else to do, haha. Zach is hilarious and always up for a good time. I am so thankful he agreed to join us on this special day.
Ring Bearer
Nephew of the Bride Carson is my oldest nephew and the one who made me “Aunt B”. He is funny, intelligent, and a super talented athlete. When I asked him to be one of the ring bearers, he was super excited! He said, “This will be my first wedding!”
Flower Girl
Niece of the Bride Ann Laughlin is my beautiful niece. She is the definition of sugar and spice and everything nice. She knows exactly how to handle her brothers but also how to paint her nails and lead some cheers. She is very excited about being the flower girl and I can’t wait to see how beautiful she will look in her dress!
Ring Bearer
Nephew of the Bride Cameron is my youngest nephew and the baby of the family. He is probably the "coolest" of all the Jones gang. He knows exactly what to say at the right moment and is the best little brother to his older siblings. He was a little unsure about being a ring bearer, but I think that was because he doesn’t exactly know what a ring bearer does. I know he will do an awesome job!
