Welcome to our wedding website. We are so glad you are here to celebrate with us!

We met on Match.com! Crazy, right? We talked for a short amount of time via text messages and decided that meeting face to face was the best way to get to know each other. We picked a Mexican Restaurant in Rogersville, Alabama (halfway between where we each live) as our meeting place for our first date. Our plan was to meet for lunch and then go hiking at Joe Wheeler State Park. Looking back, it might not have been the best idea to let a man I had just met take me out into the woods! Haha. We had a great time and ended up spending the next day together as well when we went to Costco to buy a new TV for Matt's house. We have gone on many adventures since and cannot wait to begin this adventure of marriage together!

We wanted to do something fun and different for Valentine's Weekend, so I rented a room at the Westin at Bridge Street Town Centre in Huntsville, Alabama, for Friday, February 10, and Matt made reservations at Texas de Brazil Steakhouse for the same night. We had a wonderful meal and a restful night on Friday night. We woke up early on Saturday morning and went to breakfast at the hotel restaurant and then went to the 10 am movie at the Cinemark Bridge Street movie theater. We made it home to Matt's house by lunch time with lots of house work and yard work waiting on us. As soon as we got home, I got started on the laundry. Matt walked into the laundry room with the ring box in his hand and dropped down on one knee. I said, "are you sure this is where you want to do this, Honey? I am standing in front of the washing machine." He said, "Yep!" He then said some really sweet words that neither of us can remember and then asked me to marry him. I said, "yes, of course!"
