Hotel
This is the location of the wedding and the base for the 4 days. It is our recommended hotel. Sea view costs a little more but is worth the investment in our opinion. However we have stayed in the standard double before and this was fine. Getting from the port to this hotel is really easy and costs about 5 euro in a taxi/ takes 5 minutes. Breakfast is included and is average but does the job. There is a hairdryer and iron in the room, but I would advise bringing your own hairdryer if you need something more powerful. I would also advise bringing a steamer.
Hotel
A bit of luxury if you want to have a bit of space away from the main hotel. They also have a lovely spa if you fancy a relaxation day. Its a bit further away from the action, 5 mins in a taxi. It is close to the Greek Afternoon Tea on Day 2.
Hotel
Great for families as it is apartments with kitchens, and a communal pool. 5 min walk to the wedding venue. This isn't out on booking.com until November, so if it says "sold out" on there, this is why. I would recommend waiting until November when it is released on booking.com, you will get a better price than going direct to the hotel (makes no sense I know).
Travel Note
1) Taxi is fastest but more expensive at ~$50 per cab. If you do this, it might be worth seeing if any other guests are on your flight that you can share with. Taxi takes about half an hour. You can order through Uber which is cheaper. Uber cabs are yellow taxis, so you need to keep an eye out for the right vehicle registration and pick up zone. 2) Metro - You can get the train from the airport to the port, which will take just over an hour and is ~9 euro. If you do this, make sure you time it well for your ferry. 3) Bus - You can get a bus from the airport to the port. You can book tickets in the arrivals area or online. Bus tickets are ~5 euro and can take about 90 mins to transfer to the port. Make sure you check your ferry times and leave ample time to get to the port.
Travel Note
Go through gate 8 at Piraeus Port (the taxis drop you off pretty much outside Gate 8). You can buy tickets online in advance, but I usually buy them in the taxi on the way to the port. If you buy any further in advance, you wont be refunded if your flight is delayed or getting to Piraeus takes longer than expected. You need to be there at least 40 mins earlier than the departure time. There are info desks at the port who can point you to where the boat comes in. It generally comes in opposite the "Cantina 5 Stars" cafe in the Port, which also serves beer and refreshments whilst you wait. Tickets for the ferry are ~30 euro for one way, and half price for children. If you are sea sick, sit on the bottom level and you won't feel anything. There is a bar and place for refreshments on the boat.
Travel Note
There is a taxi rank just where the boat drops you off in the main town. It will be a 5 min taxi to any of the hotels we have recommended and ~5 euro.
