Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

"Yes". - Dan

Question

How do we get to the venue?

Answer

There will be a trolley from 3 hotels to the venue and back (3:30pm pick up from hotels; 9:30pm and 10:00pm pick-up from Merrimon-Wynne). There is also a free public parking lot on Polk Street (directly across the street from Merrimon-Wynne). To get to the public parking lot: Traveling down Blount Street from Peace Street, you will pass The Merrimon-Wynne House on your left. Take an immediate left on Polk Street and the parking lot will be located on your right between Blount and Person Street. Traveling down Person Street from Downtown Raleigh, you will turn left on Polk Street and the parking lot entrance will be on your left.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes! We would love to see (and in many cases - to meet) your little ones. When you RSVP, please let us know if you are bringing kids (and remind us of their ages!) so we can make sure they get fed :)

Question

What kind of food will be served?

Answer

Before and immediately following the ceremony there will be Italian ice with the option of sparkling wine added to it. Dinner to follow (format = caterer plated buffet). Please let us know of any dietary restrictions.

Question

How do I RSVP (for the new March 2022 date)?

Answer

Please RSVP via this website (or reach out to Beth or Dan directly). To use the site, click the RSVP tab. Enter your first and last name (if this doesn’t work enter your partner's or guest's name!). Please respond to the questions about if you are bringing kids when they pop up!

Question

What precautions are being taken to minimize the spread of COVID during this event?

Answer

Vendors will wear masks. If weather permits, the ceremony and dinner will be on the lawn (and dancing will be inside). If the weather is not conducive to hold the event outdoors, we'll be in the reception hall/in the house. While most events have not required testing or masking for guests (and most events have been indoors), there have been no weddings held here with known COVID-19 spread. While that is awesome, obviously, there is still a risk. We completely understand if anyone is not comfortable attending (and if anyone needs to back out based on current COVID risk)! ***If you experience a COVID exposure and/or are feeling ill, please play it safe and stay home.
