It's intentionally vague! If it "suits" you (wink), we're inviting you to dress up. Pants wearers can dust off their tuxes, but certainly no need for it. If dresses are your style, you'll be in good company in a full-length dress. But maybe you have a favorite cocktail dress. Wear that then!
The venue is a 2-7 minute walk, depending whether you’re staying at the Royal Sonesta or the Embassy Suites. If you need a ride, we recommend using Uber or Lyft. If you’ve never used Lyft, copy and paste the following into your web browser and you’ll get $15 off: https://www.lyft.com/i/ELIZABETH829408?utm_medium=p2pi_iacc
Well, lucky for us, the wedding is in DC! There will be plenty of bars and restaurants in the immediate area to hang out after the reception ends. If you’d like to hang out with the brides, head to the hotel lobby at the Embassy Suites. Some food and drinks will magically appear. But if you have preferred drinks, bring those!
Thank you for understanding that the guest list is limited to people specifically on the invitation. Although we love your little ones, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to restricted capacity.
After the breakfast send-off, we’ll have to pack and check out of the hotel. After that, we’re planning on finding a place to picnic on Sunday afternoon. It’ll most likely be on “P Street Beach,” which is a few minutes walk from both hotels. There are tons of small grocery stores (like Streets Market) where you can grab supplies. More details to come!
For those looking for a Sunday night adventure, we’re going to do a night walk around the monuments. It’s one of our favorite activities with visitors. We’ll meet up at Hotel Hive around 8:30 (which has a cute indoor and outdoor bar if you’re early). Then, start the walk around 8:45. The monuments are gorgeous when lit up at night! BYOB and BYOsnacks. Text us if you’re coming!
Head to room 233 in the Embassy Suites for snacks and drinks!
