Wales is a Celtic nation that is one of the four constituent countries that make up the United Kingdom (the other three being England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland). It is located in the southwest portion of the island of Great Britain, and is roughly the size of the U.S. state of New Jersey!
Everyone speaks English, but some people also speak Welsh! There are towns in the northwest part of Wales where Welsh is the dominant language, and the majority of the population is bilingual. Here is the previous paragraph translated into Welsh: Mae pawb yn siarad Saesneg, ond mae rhai pobl yn siarad Cymraeg hefyd! Mae trefi yng ngogledd orllewin Cymru lle mae'r Gymraeg yn brif iaith, ac mae mwyafrif y boblogaeth yn ddwyieithog. Bonus points (and some extra drinks) to any guest who can speak fluent Welsh by the time of the ceremony!
If you are not a citizen of the United Kingdom, you need a passport to travel to Wales. *NOTE: The UK now requires foreign visitors to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization prior to travel. The easiest way to apply is by downloading the UK ETA app on your smartphone and completing the application process. See the Travel tab for more information!
Your little ones are welcome to attend the ceremony and day time events! The evening reception will be adults only.
Cocktail attire please. Hats/fascinators strongly encouraged for the ladies!
Everything will be held on the property of the St. Pierre Country Club.
