Closest major airport, ~25â30 mins from the beach. Full airline and rental car options. Be mindful of layoversâespecially in Atlanta or Charlotte. We recommend booking at least 90 minutes for connections (Aaron and I have had to sprint through terminals more than weâd like to admit đââď¸).
Flight
Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport (PHF) â
Located about 45 minutes away, PHF is closer than Richmond but significantly smaller. It may offer limited flight options, but could be convenient depending on your departure city.

Richmond International Airport (RIC)
Roughly 1 hour and 45 minutes from Virginia Beach. This is a larger airport with more airline and route options, especially for longer-distance travelers.
