FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, the dress code is Black Tie. We ask that you wear a tuxedo or dark suit and tie. Alternatively, an evening gown would be appropriate.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your children, but we cannot accommodate guests under age 18 on our wedding day.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes there is parking on the premises.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please see travel tab regarding room blocks for The Westin at Carlsbad for discounted rate. Carlsbad by the Sea Hotel is also located next door to the venue, however, we do not have block of rooms set up at this hotel.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guests list just to those who know us well. The name of every guest invited to attend is clearly listed on your invitation and no additional guests can be accommodated.

Question

Can we swap who our additional guest are on the invitation?

Answer

We understand plans can change, but we kindly ask that guests not swap their plus-ones. We’re keeping our wedding intentionally intimate and want to celebrate with the people we personally invited.

Question

What colors should the guest stay away from?

Answer

We’re so looking forward to celebrating with you! As a small note on attire, we kindly ask that guests avoid wearing any shade of green, unless you're part of the wedding party. Green is a special color we’ve chosen for our bridal party, and we’d love for it to stand out on the day.

Question

Is the venue multi floors? Will there be accessible access?

Answer

Just a quick note about the venue: it has multiple levels, and the reception will be held on the second floor. There is a staircase leading up, but for anyone who may need it, an elevator is also available for access to the second floor. We want to make sure everyone feels comfortable and taken care of — please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need assistance.
