Red Butte Garden
Red Butte Garden is the largest botanical garden in the Intermountain West and, together with the University of Utah, is the state arboretum. The garden has welcomed guests since 1985 and consists of over 21 acres of developed gardens and five miles of hiking trails winding through an extensive Natural Area. All just minutes away from downtown Salt Lake City. Natural History Museum of Utah
As the Utah state museum of natural history, this top attraction provides an introduction to the science in Utah's remarkable landscape! Snowbird Scenic Tram
Escape the heat and enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views with a Summer Scenic Tram Ride at Snowbird. Our legendary red and blue Aerial Tram cabins whisk passengers along a 1.6-mile cable and up 2,900 vertical feet during the 13-minute trip to the top of Hidden Peak. Enjoy refreshments at The Summit and take a photo with the Salt Lake Valley, Twin Peaks and Mt. Baldy as your backdrop before taking the journey back down. Elevate your experience, literally, with an open-air ride atop the Tram with the Rooftop Balcony Add-On. The first of its kind in the USA, it’s an experience you won’t want to miss.
Oktoberfest at Snowbird Mountain Resort
It’s more than just bending elbows. Oktoberfest is weeks of fun for the whole family, featuring activities, live music, traditional Bavarian fare, over 50 varieties of beer and an array of local vendors. This highly anticipated festival begins August 9 and lasts through October 12, 2025, taking place every Saturday and Sunday, along with Labor Day. Snowbird’s Oktoberfest attracts thousands of visitors each year, making it one of the largest festivals in Utah. Admission to Oktoberfest is free. Oktoberfest runs from noon - 6 pm.
The Living Room Trailhead
Living Room Lookout Trail is a 2 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Salt Lake City, Utah that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking. This hike overlooks the entire Salt Lake Valley and is absolutely beautiful!
Sugar House Park
This park has a gently rolling landscape that is great for running. It is a 1.6 mile loop around overlooking the salt lake valley and the mountains!
