BEFORE WE BEGIN, KINDLY LET US KNOW IF YOU'RE IN!

While official RSVPs will be sent out with our wedding invitations, the nature of a destination wedding (as we're learning) requires us to reserve hotel rooms well in advance. To ensure that everyone gets the discounted room rates, please let us know if you think (nothing binding) you are going to join us. If so, which hotel do you plan to stay and what nights will you be in town? Hotel options are located under the "Travel & Hotels" tab up above. All three options are within walking distance of each other and offer top accommodations at three different price points.

How We Met

Back in 2013, a mutual friend introduced us for the first time. However, it wasn't until a year and a half later that we finally went on our first date. Neither of us knew what to expect but our mutual friend was confident that we would be perfect for each other. We took her word and finally went on our first date at Alma de Cuba. Little did we know this would be the beginning of two people becoming best friends, falling in love and bringing 100+ people with them to Puerto Rico to get married.

The Proposal

November 25, 2017

Michael planned a hike in Wissahickon Park for the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This is one of the first places we enjoyed visiting when we started dating. We would hike for a couple hours then enjoy a nice brunch. It's our favorite way to spend time together and talk about our future. As we walked along the path on this special day, Michael asked me if I remembered the first time he told me he loved me. Duh!! Of course I remember. We were sitting on his couch in his old apartment. He then proceeded to ask me if I remember where we were when he realized he was falling in love with me. I said, "Here in this park." Then my stomach started to hurt. My heart was racing. He got down on one knee. He said "I want to spend the rest of my life with you." Then asked "Will you marry me?" Somewhere in between crying and not breathing I said yes. It's hard to put into words what we felt during this moment but it was the easiest decision we've ever made. The photographer he hired to capture the moment greeted us with tears and hugs. As we walked back towards the car, we stopped at Valley Green Inn. I was surprised to see both of our families anxiously waiting with hugs, well wishes and champagne!
