~Cocktail Attire~ A tuxedo is not required. Suit and tie are required for men, comparable attire for women. Cocktail dresses, as well as long formal dresses are both acceptable for the occasion. Khakis and a blazer/sport coat would be considered too casual for this occasion. There is a dress code at The Commonwealth Club. No denim or athletic wear allowed in any area of the Club. Note: Anytime you are not in the ballroom, men must wear a suit jacket within the common areas of the Club.
There will be a trolley available from The Graduate Hotel Richmond at 4:15PM and 4:40PM to Congregation Beth Ahabah. Transportation will not be provided from The Westin. We recommend utilizing Uber, Lyft, or taxis. There is also plenty of free parking at Congregation Beth Ahabah and at The Commonwealth Club if you choose to drive. From Congregation Beth Ahabah to the reception, guests are invited to take the trolley to The Commonwealth Club. A Lyft/Uber discount code will be available at the reception for guests returning to their hotels following the celebration! Be on the lookout for the sign as you exit the reception. We want everyone to get home safely from our wedding :)
Yes - At Congregation Beth Ahabah there is a free parking deck directly across the street from the synagogue. There is also a free parking lot for wedding guests behind The Commonwealth Club. Valet parking begins at 6:00pm.
With your help we are planning to have an unplugged ceremony. We kindly request that all guests turn off and put away their phones/cameras/devices. We want you to be fully present with us, and we promise to share photos of the big day! Feel free to break out your camera/phone once you are at the reception at The Commonwealth Club and capture the evening festivities!
Only children in the bridal party and family members of the bride and groom are invited to the wedding and reception. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause!
Yay! We are excited to be the first one you will attend. Our wedding program will explain the customs and traditions of our ceremony. Kippahs or yarmulkes (skullcaps) will be provided but are optional to wear. Traditionally, kippahs are worn during prayer and while attending synagogue.
We have chosen a cocktail-style reception. There will be no assigned seats, our guests are invited to mix, mingle, drink and dance! Tables will be cleared frequently, and we also hope you get a chance to enjoy the patio outside.
Absolutely! Beer, wine, and liquor will be served. There will also be nonalcoholic options available.
