Blanton Museum of Art

Sheltered on the UT Austin campus, the Blanton Museum of Art is considered one of the largest university art museums in the country and home to more than 21,000 works of art. Its collection of Latin American art (totaling over 2,000 works) is one the oldest, largest and most comprehensive collections in the U.S. with artists from Mexico and the Caribbean along with Central and South America.

South Congress

South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704

Explore the offbeat boutiques of pedestrian-friendly South Congress Avenue. Stop for coffee, cocktails, hip boutiques, and culinary delights during your walk. Live music shows abound, including nightly sets at the legendary Continental Club. There’s also a picture-postcard vista of the Texas State Capitol. Eat at The Lucky Robot, Home Slice Pizza, Hopdoddy, Perla's, Magnolia Cafe, Amy's Ice Cream (to name a few) and take photos in front of some famous murals along the way.

We love eating at Flower Child, Culinary Dropout, Taverna, North Italia, Gloria's, Doc B's, True Food, CRU, and Sweet Paris Creperie.

Rainey Street

Zilker Metropolitan Park

The 59th annual Austin Trail of Lights will return to Zilker Park in December 2023! Go walk through its jubilant display of lights, powered by H-E-B. Zilker Park is a 361-acre park nestled in the heart of downtown, right off Lady Bird Lake. It's the perfect place for a picnic, pick up games, a large playground for children & pups.

Lady Bird Lake

Austin, TX

Lady Bird Lake is an incredible place for a nature walk. Backdropped by the downtown Austin skyline on one side, Zilker Park and Auditorium Shores on the other, and featuring the Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail. If it isn't too cold you can also go kayaking and paddleboarding!
