Jess met Ben when he joined Navy Federal in 2014. They both worked on the PR team and quickly discovered they had a lot in common, like their love of video games, crappy cartoons, and secretly wandering around the building to play Pokemon Go. Despite having some reservations about dating in the workplace, Ben finally found the courage to ask Jess to dinner. She was a catch, and he knew he’d regret not giving it a shot. To his relief she said yes, and they started dating while trying to keep their relationship under wraps at work. After Ben switched teams to pursue his dream of becoming a designer, he and Jess revealed their relationship to their coworkers (who pretty much knew what was going on by then). As they grew closer, they got an apartment in Arlington, VA where they spent plenty of time with their friends. Especially their Maid of Honor, Lexi Coyle, and Best Man, Brady James. A couple years later they were ready to move out to the ‘burbs, and bought a house in Sterling, VA. For Jess’s 30th birthday (just before the pandemic hit) Ben invited their friends and family to their house to throw her a surprise party. Ben distracted Jess with an evening around town before returning home for the big reveal. To her (and everyone else’s) surprise, he proposed to her just before they walked through the door. Jess, Ben, and their new dog, Lucky, are excited to see everyone this summer in beautiful downtown Leesburg, VA. We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone who’s grown with us over the past six years!
