They say the best place to find a mate is in church! In our case that couldn’t be more true. We met when BJ began leading the young adult group at our church. We eventually had a group brunch where BJ and I sat next to each other. It was like we were the only two people in the room! Sparks were flying and right then and there we realized this could be something more. A few weeks after that encounter we went on our first date. The rest is history... now almost 5 years and 2 children later we couldn’t imagine living life apart! Thank you for taking the time to share our excitement as we unite as one.

Twas the morning of Christmas and all through the house was the aroma of breakfast being prepared by my soon to be spouse! I had no idea that today would be the day one of my dreams came true... BJ brought breakfast in bed (yummy!) I was thinking, well somebody is in a good mood... Christmas music was blaring (cue Jackson 5 Give love on Christmas day vibes) Jaylen, Lauren, Noah, Leah and my mom were gathered in the living room ready to open presents. I came out and we started tearing away at the gifts oooing and ahhing at all of the thoughtful gifts that were given. Once the last gift was open I thought to myself I haven’t recieved anything from my love... but to my surprise that was all a part of the plan. BJ called Noah over and he was hidden behind him on the floor coaching him to say “Mommy” and Noah said “Mommy” and word by word they said “will you marry me?” I was in shock! Excitement overwhelmed me as Noah walked the ring over to me on the couch! I ran to BJ hugged him tight, shed a few tears, and planted a bunch if kisses on his lips thinking... he will soon officially be myyyy husband!! ❤️
