In the beginning months of 2020, we connected on Hinge (a dating app). While Bennett was finishing his senior year at West Point, Alexa was working in New York. After weeks of back and forth conversation, we connected for our first date on the last weekend before the pandemic shut down New York and the world. We've never looked back from there, moving from NYC, to Oklahoma, then Hawaii, and now Boston, with future plans to return to NYC in 2025.

Just after Bennett's return for West Point's graduation, we met for a weekend away in Montauk to celebrate and spend time with our friends Peter and Anna. After a lovely weekend of Montauk beaches and time together, Bennett asked Alexa to be his Girlfriend - and the rest is history! We are ecstatic to be able to celebrate our 5th anniversary with our friends and family in New Haven!

Just prior to our move to Boston, Bennett insisted on showing Alexa a new "hidden gem" sunset spot on the North Shore of O'ahu, mere blocks from our home in front of Three Tables Beach. Alexa, worried about getting sandy before dinner with friends, expressed understandable confusion and concern, but Bennett insisted. After a thirty second drive, we meandered to the newly discovered spot, reminiscing on our time in Hawaii and how much we would miss it. Bennett, quickly getting out his planned speech, got down (confidently and with good posture) on one knee and proposed. Alexa, teary eyed, said yes, and was immediately met with our closest friends, who were hiding nearby. Champagne and leis were handed out, and we celebrated that night on the water at a beautiful rooftop bar in Haleiwa town. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
