Carytown
Carytown is an urban retail district at the end of the Museum District in Richmond. The colorful area is lined with little shops, bakeries, and diners. Be sure to visit Byrd Theatre, the restored movie cinema with cheap tickets, if you have a chance.
Maymont Park
This is a gorgeous non-profit estate that is available to walk around and admire the gardens, animals, and manor. It is also where we had our first date!
Belle Isle
Belle Isle is one of the most well-known public natural areas in Central Virginia. Spending a lazy afternoon on the rocks watching the river go by with your friends — perfection.
VMFA
The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is within the museum district of Richmond and is free to anyone. The Museum shows a collection of various artworks and galleries. One could spend a whole day getting lost in all the artworks showcased.
