Chelsea was first introduced to the Gómez family back in 2010 through Roger. What started as a friendship quickly turned into something more like family—Roger and Chelsea became forever friends, and the Gómez family graciously welcomed her into their home, sharing holidays, traditions, and plenty of memories along the way. Years later, Chelsea and Benjie were formally introduced. Their paths crossed here and there at holidays and family gatherings, but life had them living in different states, following their own journeys. Fast forward to 2021. Chelsea was deep into her “van life” era—traveling the country in her Tesla from California to Oregon, Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee, and just about anywhere the road would take her. One of those stops happened to be Denver… and more specifically, Benjie’s home. Little did Benjie know—or maybe he did—Chelsea had had him on her radar for a while. What followed was a summer of exploring what could be. That momentum carried into a pre-planned trip to Miami and a cruise to Jamaica with Roger, Matsumi, Magali, and Javier… where Chelsea may or may not have been especially excited when travel logistics placed her in the same room as Benjie. Somewhere between the road trips, the ocean views, and a lot of laughter, they decided to take a chance on something real—and officially gave it a go. Not long after, Chelsea packed up her home base in Austin, Texas and moved to Denver, Colorado, where Benjie welcomed her with open arms. Together, they took a leap of faith on this thing called love. Today, life looks like adventure. Whether it’s road trips (yes, they will absolutely pull over for the world’s largest ball of yarn), exploring new cities, or escaping to Mexico and the Caribbean, they’re always chasing the next experience—together.
