"Love always finds you when you least expect it." This is what our parents always told us growing up. We never believed it until it happened to us. We started out as friends while at the University of Rhode Island, and that friendship slowly blossomed into an all-time love. Neither one of us expected it, but we are so grateful every day to have found this love. Always and forever. - Savannah & Ben

On July 4th weekend, Ben and Savannah made their way down to New Jersey to visit with her parents and surprise Savannah's mom with a spa day. Little did she know that Ben had other plans up his sleeve. After a relaxing day, the whole family went to dinner under the guise of celebrating her brother Ben's send-off to his first year of law school. When they arrived at the restaurant, Savannah's mom went to "talk" to the hostess, creating a clever diversion. She told the family that it would be a bit of a wait until their reservation was ready, so they headed across the street to the boardwalk for a stroll. While walking along, Savannah noticed a blanket, flowers, and champagne laid out on the beach and said, "Oh look, someone is getting engaged tonight. How cute!" As she turned around to look at her family, there was Ben on one knee, in tears, smiling. She immediately said "YES!" and the entire family celebrated together all night long!
