We're getting married

Separated by miles and miles, two fiery hearts that were set for one another got together in the most unexpected way. A meek and reserved guy from the "sazón y salsa" of Puerto Rico and an active and creative girl from the land of "marimba y volcanes" of Guatemala set course to meet in San Francisco of all places. It wasn't the land they grew up in, but it was a place where God intended them to meet. Blessed by family and friends, through differences and distance, with intention, effort, and guided by the Holy Spirit, this story is about to take a major leap. More than a leap of faith, it's a leap in faith. Propelled into a life with God and love for one another. Sharing their journey with loved ones as they embarked on adventures, travels, hikes, photography, and serving at the church they fell in love. Benjamín and Elisa grew closer together while enjoying slow paced little joys, such as building puzzles with music playing in the background and spontaneous walks with boba tea. Adaptability, patience and drive are the core characteristics of this union. The love for Christ and the church is their bond, their foundation. Come join us to share this event where the purpose of God is fulfilled against time, distance and uncertainty. Love always wins. 2018 - Benjamín moves to San Francisco from Puerto Rico and finds a home in CityLife Church. 2019 - Elisa moves to San Francisco from Virginia Beach VA and finds a home in CityLife Church. 2019 - Elisa and Benjamín meet at church while serving in the Media Team. 2020- Elisa and Benjamín become close friends while hiking as COVID stopped the world. 2021 - Elisa and Benjamín start dating in February. 2021 - Elisa leaves USA to go back to Guatemala on February with no set return. 2021 - Benjamín meets Elisa's parents via Zoom on March and gets their blessing. 2021 - Elisa meets Benjamín's parents face to face in April and gets their blessing. 2021 - After Elisa and Benjamín met each others parents, they started their official relationship on April 8th. 2021 - Elisa and Benjamín travel to Florida, Utah and Puerto Rico to meet with family and further deepen their relationship. 2022 - Elisa and Benjamín reach their first year together. 2022 - Benjamín goes to Guatemala in July to propose to Elisa in her home country with her parents as witnesses. 2023 - Elisa and Benjamín tie the knot in January. 2023 And forward ... Elisa and Benjamín will keep writing their story together...
