Meet us in San Diego!

In the spring of 2022, we both moved to Austin, Texas on a whim—each looking for a fresh start. A month later, we matched on Hinge and planned a date… until Ben shared his move was only temporary and he was moving back to Seattle the following week. Lexie canceled, deciding it wasn’t the right time to start something that already had an expiration date. But fate had other plans. When Lexie’s flight to Chicago for her brother’s graduation was unexpectedly canceled, she had a change of heart—and texted Ben to grab a drink instead. What followed was an unforgettable first date… even though they were convinced they'd never see each other again. Ben pushed back his move, Lexie flew home early, and their second date was a Backstreet Boys concert—followed by seven unforgettable days together we now call “our week.” After two months of long distance, Ben made the move back to Austin for good—this time with Lexie by his side on a cross-country road trip. From there, we built a life together in Austin, then San Diego—where we celebrated anniversaries, made countless memories, and got engaged. Today, we live in Seattle with our two cats, putting down roots in the PNW and officially turning a canceled flight into forever.
