Since we are having a small wedding with just our family and closest friends and we will have two photographers there to capture our day, odds are you'll be in a lot of photos! We'd love if you were photo-ready in all the great shots they get of you that we'll have for a lifetime! The dress code is garden attire, so think floral sundresses, pastels, linen suits, etc. that will look nice but be comfortable on what is likely to be a gorgeous Denver summer day! We are not having plus ones at our wedding. We've dreamed of a day that we can spend with our family and closest friends, which includes you, but because of that dream and the venues we have chosen, we are held to a strict guest limit and therefore only the people named on the invitation are on our guest list. We hope you understand how much we want you here to celebrate with us, and that is nothing against you or your significant other - we just limited our day to our most special people.
While we have made arrangements with Hotel Indigo for a discounted rate, don't feel obligated to stay there! We'd recommend staying downtown near Union Station where there are tons of options to choose from, but don't feel tied down to that either! Denver is a pretty easy city to get around in - it seems like you're never much further than 20 minutes from any destination! See our travel accommodations page for more information on our hotel block and some other hotels in the area!
We are having a completely "unplugged" ceremony. This means we kindly ask that all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. Why? We have hired professional photographers to capture all of our moments - big and small - with the vision we have in mind, and we'd hate to have a well-meaning person's phone/camera blocking those shots. So please keep all devices away until after our ceremony has completely concluded... basically, no pictures of us at the Botanic Gardens, please!
We have arranged for transporation to the Gardens from Hotel Indigo (1.5 blocks from Union Station) that will depart at 11:20 am. If you are not staying as part of the room block, please still feel free to meet the shuttle at Hotel Indigo! The shuttle will depart after our ceremony at 1:00pm and drop guests off back at Hotel Indigo. If you have your own transporation, you may park for free at the Botanic Gardens.
We will not be serving a sit down dinner at our wedding. Instead, we will have heavy appetizers and food stations, along with some craft drinks so you can mingle more freely! But don't worry, there will still be cake. Options will include: Greek Chicken Kababs with Tzatziki Vegetable Spring Rolls Prosciutto Wrapped Melon with Balsamic Charcuterie and Fruit and Cheese Boards Seasonal Vegetables and Dips Chilled and Fresh Shucked Seafood Surf and Turf Brochette with Beef Medallions and Tiger Shrimp
Our reception will be hosted at the Cooper Lounge in Denver's Union Station, which has a very 1920's feel in a low-key lounge format. Both of our most special memories are the times when we're with our families or friends, all just piled on the couch or sitting on the floor telling stories, laughing until we're in tears, and just enjoying each others' company. We hope you enjoy and remember our day for the same reasons, so we won't have a DJ or a dancefloor, just a cozy and beautiful space where all of our favorite humans can be in our favorite place - together!
We will have a variety of appetizer and food display boards at our reception, so there will be something for everyone regardless of dietary restrictions! If you have any specific concerns, please contact Kailey or Ben.
If you are renting a car or driving to our wedding, there will be free parking in the Botanic Garden parking lot for our ceremony. If you are driving to the reception, we'd recommend parking at the hotel or valet parking at Union Station as street parking around Union Station is all metered with a 2-hour limit.
