Lions and tigers and bears! The zoo is great, I highly recommend it. They have sea lions, giraffes, elephants, hippos, and a vast array of assorted reptiles. They say penguins and polar bears don't live in the same place, but you'll find both at the Denver Zoo!
There is always something to learn here! Recently the interactive space exhibit has been redone, there are dinosaurs, an Egypt exhibit, and many other attractions.
Tea, clotted cream, scones, finger sandwiches. This place is a historic hotel in central Denver which hosts a true British-style afternoon tea.
This use to be a Six Flags but isn't owned by them anymore. There are three larger coasters and many smaller rides. Elitch's should be open again for the summer season by the weekend before the wedding.
This is a great visit as one of the largest art museums in the region. There is always something interesting to see.
The aquarium is a Landry's property, featuring a restaurant in addition to the aquarium itself. The aquarium features many aquatic creatures, and also tigers.
This is a fun place to visit with all kinds of shopping, food, and other things to do. There's a shuttle that goes down the whole mile or so of pedestrian mall, stopping every block to make it easy to get around. That being said be aware if you go here, it's very busy and recently there has been a higher frequency of news-worthy problems. It isn't unsafe, but just be cautious.
This is the Coors brewery, they do a tour and a tasting. It's super informational, and even a good time for kids to learn about fermentation.
Boulder is also easily accessible from Denver using the regional bus line. There are multiple trips every day so a half day is fully doable. Pearl street is similar to 16th street but slightly more elevated. Notable stores here include the kite store called Into the Wind, along with many boutique shopping experiences for many different goods.
This is a lower cost tea experience to the Brown Palace, but it is by no means worse. The entire building was imported from the East, featuring handmade tiles and intricate wood carving. This is overall a better, if less ritzy, afternoon tea experience to the Brown Palace. The teahouse is located in Boulder rather than Denver.
Sublime plays Friday the 28, Trevor Hall plays Sunday the 30.
They have casinos.
