FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We encourage all guests to wear formal attire. Formal dress code for women includes, floor length gowns and tea length dresses. Formal dress code for men includes suits and tuxes (please no jeans).

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately only the guests that are formally invited on your wedding invitation will be attending. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, the only children that will be at our wedding will be the two flower girls along with two more immediate family member’s children. It is overall an adults-only event. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having a church ceremony which would be an “unplugged ceremony” (no phones or cameras). The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present as we say “I do”. We have hired professionals to capture this moment for us. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you’d like!

Question

Why so much time between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

In order to accommodate the regular schedule at St. Anthony’s Church, our ceremony needed to be earlier in the day. The old Portuguese ladies are expecting their 4:00pm mass. You may take the time to explore Newport while we await cocktail hour and dinner.

Question

Who should we reach out to with any other questions?

Answer

You may send a message to our joint email, russowedding2026@yahoo.com.
