Like all great modern love stories, ours began with… an Instagram DM. It all started when Ben posted a story of a few deer hanging out in his backyard. Becky, clearly impressed by the wildlife (and maybe by Ben too) replied, “How much are tickets to the deer sanctuary?” Without missing a beat, Ben responded, “For you? Free.” Becky shot back, “Where do I sign up?” Never one to pass up an opportunity for some fun, Ben created a Google Form—complete with fields for her name, address, phone number, and availability. Becky filled it out immediately, because how could she not? Their first date was at The Abbey in Lawrenceville, where the conversation flowed as easily as the drinks. By the end of the night, they both knew something was different. It wasn’t just a spark; it was a whole bonfire. From there, it was adventure after adventure. They discovered that their favorite thing to do together (besides making each other laugh) was travel. Whether it was a quick weekend getaway or a once-in-a-lifetime trip, they loved exploring new places with each other. One of their biggest adventures came when they spent 10 days driving around Iceland, tackling the full Ring Road like pros. They soaked in hot springs, explored waterfalls, and stood in absolute awe beneath the Northern Lights—not realizing that a little piece of that magic was coming home with them. Fast forward to June 20, 2025, when their greatest gift arrived: their daughter, Aurora Lucia Friday. Named after those glowing lights in the Icelandic sky, she’s the brightest star in their story and proof that love (and maybe a little northern magic) can light up your whole world. But before Aurora came along, there was one very special stop on their journey. On April 4th, during their baby moon in St. Augustine, Ben got down on one knee outside the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument and asked Becky to spend forever with him. She said yes (obviously), and the rest is history in the making. From deer DMs to frozen waterfalls to Florida sunsets and diaper duty, their love story has been equal parts laughter, excitement, and a little bit of chaos—but always filled with joy.
