Traveling By Air

There are seasonal direct flights to Martha's Vineyard (MVY) from Boston, New York, and Washington D.C. If you are coming from anywhere else, we recommend flying to Boston, New York, or Providence and making your way to the vineyard from there. COMING FROM BOSTON: If you fly to Boston, you have a couple of options: you can take a short Cape Air flight to the vineyard, you can rent a car and drive to the ferry of your choice, or you can take the Peter Pan bus to the Woods Hole Ferry Terminal and take the The Steamship Authority to the island. COMING FROM NEW YORK: You can typically fly direct to Martha's Vineyard on JetBlue from JFK. You can also take the Seastreak Ferry directly from New York City to Martha's Vineyard COMING FROM WASHINGTON D.C: You can typically fly direct to Martha's Vineyard on American Airlines from Reagan National Airport (DCA).

Traveling By Sea

COMING FROM BOSTON: The Steamship Authority operates year-round from Wood's Hole, MA to Martha's Vineyard. It's an easy 45-minute ride from Wood's Hole to Vineyard Haven and there will be plenty of cabs waiting for passengers when the ship docks. This ferry has the most frequent schedule and holds hundreds of passengers. You can also bring your car on board this boat if you would like. If you're bringing a car on the ferry, make sure to make a reservation well in advance. If you are not bringing a car, you can buy a ticket for the ferry when you arrive at the dock, tickets never ever sell out. Guests not bringing a car on the ferry should check the Steamship's website or hotline for updates on parking in Woods Hole and Falmouth. The parking lots change as they fill up so it is important to check the website periodically as you are driving to the ferry. COMING FROM NEW YORK: Seastreak Cruises offers passenger ferry service from New York and New Jersey to Martha's Vineyard (Oak Bluffs).
