We couldn't go to Arizona without visiting the world famous Grand Canyon National park in central Arizona. Take a full day to explore the many view points or take your time and stretch it out over a few days don't miss seeing this iconic US treasure during your Arizona day. There are many accommodations and tours that can be arranged just outside of the southern entrance to the park which is only a few hour drive from Phoenix.
Sedona
If you are planning on extending your stay in Arizona and doing a little travel do yourself a favour and do not miss out on the stunning town of Sedona, Arizona. Surrounded by huge red rock formations and typical dessert landscape you feel as though you are on the set of a movie that doesn't feel real. It was by far our most memorable place that we visited on our trip to Arizona in May of 2024.
Camelback Mountain
Fancy a nice hike to get out of the city and take in a stunning view for an Instagram post? look no further than Camelback mountain located north east just outside of the city, Camelback Mountain is easily accessible from the city and can be completed between 3-4 hours but requires a strong level of fitness.

Located just outside of Page, Arizona, Horseshoe Bend is well worth consideration if you are looking to explore the beautiful state of Arizona. Horseshoe Bend was definitely a highlight of our trip to Arizona and not to be missed if you are heading out of the city to explore the natural wonders of Arizona.

Located just outside of Page, Arizona, Antelope canyon tours take you right through the canyon from start to finish.
