Welcome to our wedding site! We’ve created this to make a resource for all of the details of our big day! As the pandemic is still ongoing, we’ll be giving updates here once we know how many of you wonderful folk can join us. We will send formal invitations once the state increases our guest count but for now, we just wanted to let you know that we would love to have you. Thank you for all of the love & support thus far! Planning a wedding during a pandemic has had its challenges but we are hopeful we can celebrate with some of our precious friends and family.
Yeah, you all knew this was bound to happen, right? This was just the worst secret? Alas, the joys of being with someone for a long time and knowing they’re the one is that the time just flies. So after 13 years, 10 jobs, 7 apartments, and one absolute doofus of a dog entering our lives, we’re making our life-long commitment official and getting married. Now did we initially think we met our life partner in the midst of a Spring Break trip to Montreal? Of course not! But after living & working together, and being each other’s support system through our highs and lows, this was as sure a thing as paying your taxes. It was just a matter of time. The only issue for Ben: how to keep the proposal an absolute surprise. Despite all this time, surely he had thought of the best way to pull it off. Ben bought the ring in early 2020 and had a couple of ideas in mind: And then… well you were there. 2020 happened. Plans & priorities changed. We consider it a blessing to be able to move in with Nicole & Stephen to speed up our dream of becoming homeowners whilst working remotely. But before we said goodbye to East Boston, the town where Ben was born & raised and where the two of us grew into the couple you know today, we went to Piers Park for a quaint anniversary picnic. We enjoyed some much-needed fresh air while gazing upon the city we used to travel to daily. Lo & behold, simply getting down on one knee was all the surprise that was needed. He still stunned Marissa after all these years. Expletives may or may not have been said, but the one word that Ben was looking for definitely was.
