There's lots to do in the Lake Tahoe area. Here are a few recommendations!

The Rubicon Trail is one of our favorites. It follows the shoreline and leads to Emerald Bay. If you have 2 cars, it helps to leave 1 car at the end of the hike so you only need to walk in one direction.

On the California side of the lake, some of the main public beaches are

-Tahoe City public beach
-Chambers Landing public beach
-Sugar Pine Point beach
-Lester beach
-The beach at Emerald Bay
-Kings Beach

There are also beautiful beaches on the Nevada side. Sand Harbor is particularly famous and iconic, but the drive is further from Homewood.
